kloktober 10/01: Your favorite character

HELLO KLOKTOBER 2025 HERE I COME

same as usual, a bunch of little tiny fic things, loosey-goosey, going with the flow. sometimes i have more to write than others. some are going to be more fun than others, because i'm trying to do the whole month without getting all burnt out about it. at the end i'll compile 'em all into a fic for ao3. first up we have favorite character which means you get a little toki. but also there's the other guys.

Instead of getting into the hot tub with everybody else, Toki took a picture of them on his phone. "I'm startin's a tours blogs," he said. "Gonna puts all my favorites pictures there, when we goes on the new tour. So people can haves a goods time seein's what we's doin's, you know?"

"Sounds fun, Toki," Pickles said, leaning over the side of the tub with his drink. "What's a blog?"

Toki took another picture, then looked back at his phone to compare the two. "Ams like… writin's in a diaries, but you puts it ons the internets. But ams a goods place what you puts all your pictures."

"Tour hasn't even started," Murderface said. "Why are you taking pictures now?"

"Ams't it obvious?" Skwisgaar said. "To take stupids pictures."

Toki grinned. "Takin's stupids pictures of alls of us! Sees, look, I gots all you guys ins this one." He turned his phone around like they could get any kind of good look from here. They couldn't.

Murderface splashed in his direction before lowering himself further into the water.

Toki laughed and sat down at the computer, plugging his phone in to get the pictures off and get things started.

"Hey. Don't start now," Nathan said. "We're having hot tub time. Get the fuck in here."

Well, it wasn't like Toki could say no to that, so... he got the fuck in there.

She'd cope a lot better if her best friend's ghost would stop with the commentary. Chapter 14 of Spellbound is here! Summary: Nathan grapples with jealousy as the band prepares to attend Sunday's birthday party in LA. Sunday takes time for occult self care. Uncertainty lingers as they cross lines and question their level of commitment.

It's a Halloween birthday party chapter that I probably could've saved for next week when Kloktober starts, but two years is long enough to wait for an update already.

Kloktober is almost upon us!

What is Kloktober? First and foremost, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to @lampmeeting for their unwavering dedication and incredible service to the fandom over the past five years. Their work has helped make Kloktober what it is today, and it’s truly an honor to be taking the reins and carrying this amazing tradition forward!

Now, onto the fun stuff: Kloktober is an electrifying, zazz-tastic event that takes place throughout October, where we come together to celebrate all things Metalocalypse. Every day of the month has a unique prompt that you can interpret however you’d like! Whether it’s drawing, writing, cosplay, memes... anything goes! There’s no limit to how you can participate, so feel free to get as creative as you want.

How do I participate? Simply create your totally brutal masterpiece inspired by the day’s prompt and post it using the hashtag #kloktober2025. That’s it! Share your creations wherever you normally post your work: Tumblr, Twitter, AO3, Instagram, or any other platform. The more, the merrier!

But am I allowed to— YUP! ANYTHING GOES! There are no wrong answers in Kloktober. You can interpret the prompts however you like, and even if you only do one day (or none at all!) that’s totally fine too. No pressure! This is all about fun and celebrating our love for Metalocalypse. So don’t worry about burnout, just do what feels right! NOW'S NOT THE TIME TO CHICKEN OUT! NOW'S THE TIME TO SHINE!

Summary: Saturnalia, at its Roman height, was a festival to celebrate Saturn, the god of the harvest. After the appropriate sacrifices, celebrants partied, exchanged gifts, feasted, and made merry in hopes of a bountiful spring.
