Bread Rolls!
I made bread rolls! I wanted to try my hand at something a little bit new and they turned out wonderfully. The rolls were soft and fluffy, and my only complaint is that the recipe made too many to get through before they were stale. Definitely going to be making this one again.
Garlic Potatoes!
Another recipe I found online and thought I'd give it a try. They were pretty good, but even after I halved the amount of garlic the recipe called for, it was still way too much garlic. If I make these again I am absolutely cutting the garlic further. These are some of the potatoes I grew in the garden this past summer too!
Fajita Chicken Foil Packets!
These were delicious! I threw this together with some chicken and fajita seasoning I had leftover from another recipe, some peppers I didn't want to leave in the fridge any longer, an onion, and a can of kidney beans. These made a really nice and quick fridge meal after I cooked them. I just dumped the foil packet contents on a tortilla with some frozen rice and heat it up.
Somehow More Plant Photos!
Whilst most of the garden has died off, either for good or just for the winter, my strawberries seem to have missed the memo. There are still strawberries ripening and its flowering. How?! Someone needs to tell these plants it's November! 😆
Pumpkin Stew!
I tried my hand at making a stew! I started with a recipe, but ended up kinda winging it by the end, with a much larger variety of vegetables than the recipe called for. We grew a bunch of pumpkins this year so I peeled and chopped one of the smaller ones for this. I'd never had pumpkin in stew before and it turns out I don't like it. The rest of the stew tasted good though.
Experimental Sourdough Bread!
This is a loaf of whole wheat sourdough bread with a twist. I tried my hand at putting nuts and dried fruit in bread to see how it turned out. It turned out far better than I was expecting considering I was entirely winging this. This loaf has pecans and dried cranberries in it, and tasted pretty good. I'm definitely going to continue experimenting with other combinations if anyone has any suggestions. I did forget to take a photo of the loaf when I came out of the oven, but I did snag one of a slice.
Garden Photos!
Some more photos I've taken in the garden recently. The temperature is dropping here so this might be the last set till spring. We had bees, praying mantis, caterpillars, frogs, birds, and more critters I didn't manage to get photos of all over the garden in the past month or so!
Creamy Bacon Chicken!
My second time making creamy bacon chicken! Just as delicious as the first time, but it didn't take a full 2 hours to make this time as I knew what I was doing. This meal is absolutely climbing the ranks of my favorites.
Kabobs!
I made some beef kabobs! I found a lovely recipe for fajita seasoning and decided to try my hand at some kabobs with it. They turned out wonderfully and the fajita seasoning recipe is definitely one I will be saving as it was arguably some of the best tasting beef I've ever had.
Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls!
I tried making sourdough cinnamon rolls! I tried once before with a different recipe, but it went so badly that I pitched the uncooked dough and didn't end up saving any pictures. That was the first time I've ever had to abandon a recipe partway through. Thankfully this try went so much better, and resulted in some delightfully fluffy cinnamon rolls.
Big Cookie!
I found a recipe for a Nutella stuffed cookie big enough to fill a 8 inch pan and had to try it out. It was absolutely delicious and so gooey on the inside! It did get pretty rock like after a day or so in the fridge, but it softened back up in the microwave. Will definitely be making this again.
Creamy Bacon Chicken!
This was my first time making this recipe but it turned out really well! It was absolutely delicious and the rest of my family enjoyed it as well. I have already made it again since, and will have those photos up sometime as well.
Birds!
There were a pair of goldfinches on my catnip the other day! They were having a grand old time munching on the seeds from my catnip plant. I didn't realize how much goldfinches loved catnip seeds, but apparently they are sometimes called catnip birds because they love it so much.

These are some of the various photos I've taken throughout the summer and never got around to posting. The garden has been lovely and lush this year! There are more photos on the way as everything is still growing wonderfully.
More Potatoes!
I harvested a bunch more of my potatoes! This still isn't all of them, but the radishes I originally planted with the potatoes aren't as dead as I thought they were and are a bit entangled with the remaining potatoes.
Strawberry Cheesecake Bars!
We have a lot of cream cheese right now, so I tried my hand at a cheesecake type dessert. They turned out really well, especially for a first try! I'll have to try some other cheesecake based desserts soon.
Potatoes and a Radish!
I harvested a few potatoes the other day! The plants are dying off now so I pulled one up and went rooting around underneath it to see what I had. They look really good and I'll have to harvest the rest of them soon! I also harvested a radish today. It was the only one that was ready to be picked, but I should have a bunch more soon.
