*Our muses are stranded in a snowy wasteland with no food. Tell me in my inbox whether or not your muse would cannibalize mine.* "Would you?"
Volgin took a deep breath. Despite his large stature, the cold was started to get to him. He took a glance over at Klara, only maintaining eye contact for a second or so.
“No.”
“You’d have to get off of me. I’d have to get over there.” That provided another risk he wasn’t interested in taking. Exposing both of them to more of the bitter cold. But the reward might be worth gambling both of their lives for…
“Of course,” she agreed, moving carefully away, in an attempt to not get the animal’s attention and miss their opportunity. “It’s all yours.” With a hand on the knife, she readied herself, for just in case.
He stood up slowly. His legs were losing circulation from sitting and the cold. He’d have to finish this fast. It had already noticed him rising from the ground and had started to approach them.
“It’s the principle of the matter. You challenge me, then what is to stop everyone from challenging me?” Already he was growing tired of this conversation. “If one of them stands up, then they all stand up. There is a hierarchy here and you had the gall to disrupt it.”
“Give me a break. These theories don’t prove a thing,” she kept her stance. “I don’t see anyone revolting.“ She eventually sighed, crossing her arms across her chest. “Alright. I’ll make you a deal. I’ll stop challenging you, and you stop hiding from me. How’s that?”
“I’m not hiding anything.” He spat. This was getting nowhere. “If you expect me to write you poetry and love songs, you’ve come to the wrong man.”
Sexual Sunday--
Leave me a ♥ for a sexual fantasty my muse has about yours.
Leave me a ’XXX’ for a kink my muse has.
Leave me a name/url for one thing my muse finds attractive about them.

Klara burst into his office again, but surprisingly didn’t slam the door. Treading steadily towards him, she leaned over the desk, sitting with her elbows on the wooden surface and eyeing him rather strangely.
“I guess I’m out of options here.” She narrowed her eyes. “Tell me, what should we do about this? I need to be sure you won’t ever go behind my back again. And threatening you isn’t going to work.” A devilish grin formed on her lips as she finished the phrase.
“You tell me, Klara.” He set down the paperwork he had been thumbing through to pass the time. “What are we going to do about this.” He kept his expression neutral, but he could hardly contain himself on the inside.
“Well then, why don’t you try to show me what you really feel for once. That would help. Sometimes I feel like I can read you, and sometimes I feel like I’m looking at a piece of stone.“ Her eyes kept piercing through his own. “I understand how you have to be around other people, but could stop hiding from me?”
“I’m not hiding anything.” He turned away. “You of all people should know to respect my space. I give you everything I’m willing to give, and you come here asking for more?”
“Don’t you dare turn your back on me!” She snapped, slamming her hand against the table. “I respect your space, but that doesn’t mean you should keep secrets from me, if you trust me.” She soon calmed a bit. “And you’ve been hiding from me recently. I need a very good reason to trust you again. You’ve been giving me so much. Yes. The question is ‘why’? You’ve never told me why.”
“Clearly you don’t trust me if you believe I am keeping secrets.” He growled. “I don’t care much for this attitude you’ve been developing. Things have been the same as always. Only now you choose to get angry over it.”
She scoffed at his comment. “You’re fucking unbelievable. That’s what I’m trying to tell you! I can’t trust you because you went behind my back. Why did you?”
“I have my own motives. I can’t get a damn thing done around here with you trying to undermine my authority.”

“No.”
Volgin’s view was blocked, but he knew from the sound of her voice. “It isn’t wolves, is it?”
“I’d say wild dog, more precisely,” she replied, keeping her cool. “But right now, I doubt it makes that much of a difference.”
“Wolves come in packs. Dogs are just dogs.” It would be easier to fend off from a wild dog. “Let’s make it’s pelt into a blanket.”

“If they have any respect for their commanding officer, you’ll be spotless.” He crossed his arms and smirked.
-{✘}- Commanding Officer, hmm? That narrowed down just WHO’S company he was currently stood within by a SINCERELY large amount. “And just WHOM do I have the pleasure of speaking with?”
“Volgin. Colonel Volgin. They call me Thunderbolt.” He straightened his back subconsciously and stood at attention. “Your name?” he replied.

“No.”
“So what do you propose I do about it? Because unless you have any plans, this is how it’s going to be?” The situation’s weight was starting to effect him. He was helpless, and it infuriated him.
“We’re in this together, alright? Whatever happens…” There was a small pause before she continued. “It’s– it’s not the time to decide which one lives and which one dies.”
“Whoever lives is going to give those idiots back at the base hell for taking so long to find us.” The heat of his rage was burning out into a cool bitterness. “And so help me god if you go easy on them…”
Klara couldn’t help but laugh. Though that laughter was rather out of rage that they had to wait for so long in that place. “Go easy on them? I think they better pray that I’m not the one who returns!”
“If I’m the one who goes back, the entire base will burn. At least you’d only just kill them.” The thought almost brought a smile to his face, but seeing Klara smile was enough.
The conversation became a nice little distraction and for a small amount of time, it took her mind off the cold. A smile found her lips again and she held onto him a bit tighter. “That would be a great sight, which I don’t intend to miss.“ She paused. “Wait. Do you hear that?”
“No.” He held himself still, not wanting any rustling to muffle the sound. “What is it?”
“I’m not sure…” She tried to listen again, pausing her breathing for a moment. “I could swear I heard movement. Could be some animal or something.”
“Like a bear or a squirrel? If it’s a bear, it would be hard to take down, but it’s pelt might help us.” He shifted a little, ready to get up if needed.
