I think if i lose my dad it will break me...i mean everywhere i go im basically getting people hurt or killed, miguel said i wasnt even supposed to become spider man...peter, uncle aaron, my dad...all of them died or are going to die because of me.”
“I dont think i can handle someone else dying because of my actions..of my faults. Ontop of everything else going on...feels like im about to shatter and slip into the void....”
"it's a good thing for you that i'm not one to quit so easily," he said as he hopped down from the counter, holding the bag out to miles. "thanks for the food." what he had from the bag was delicious, but he was now determined more than anything to get that watch done.
"if i'm not out of my lab in two hours, make sure to come get me," he said, putting on his mask to get his breathing treatment. he needed to change the filter in two hours. "you're welcome to join me if you want, but make sure you're quite."
42 wasn't about to let miles disappear, not if there was something he could do about it. he lost his dad, but that didn't mean miles had to.

“its not like im not trying too...i mean it took a bit to sorta get used to the glitching out, as first it hurt like hell feeling myself trying to return to something, whilst the other half was tearing itself back here. Don’t recommend it. But you know after a bit you sorta cement in a way.”
He sighs chuckling as he shakes his head. “It happens less and when it does it hurts less...” He slowly looks up at the ceiling in thought, almost spacing out for a moment before shaking his head. “And at first i couldnt sleep because of all the stress, i couldnt sleep because of the fear, the worry, every moment i sleep, could be the hour i sleep when my dad dies...”
“But even after you know i was able to rationalize it, compartmentlize it, move past it. Now i have new nightmares, and these nightmares...arent so easily put away.”
"i'm still trying to figure out how to make that watch you had talked about when you got here.." he started as he jumped up on a counter to continue with his supper. "sorry it's taking so long, but hey, if you're saying that it's getting easier to be in this dimension, then i guess that's a good thing."
bringing up the loss of his dad--it stung 42 more than miles might know. the weeks of hardly any sleep, the hours of crying with his mother after losing him..there was a breath that left the young man as he shook his head.
"you really have no idea what that will do to you," he spoke as he was already losing his appetite, setting the bag down on the counter. "the way your body's going to feel his loss..if it's anything like what happened to me." his eyes looking down at his prosthetic before shrugging. "but who knows, you're not me and i'm not you, you might take it differently."
while 42 doesn't do graffiti, he does have a versy small studio where his uncle made sure he could vent out his aggression by doing oil painting. his left hand is stained from years of practice.

"and here i was about to make myself a sandwich.." he teased before noticing just how tired miles looked, he gave the other a frown as he took one of the bags that he had been given.
he wasn't sure if it was his place to speak up, but he did have some worry in his heart for his counterpart.
"how come you still look like shit?" he said as he took a few fries before stuffing them into his mouth. "not been sleeping?"

with the hug being offered, miles was quick with the reciprocating as his arms wrapped their way around robin. he could let a breath out as he felt the relief rush over him.

━ caution ; as they approached, fists clenched but their posture shifted off-center. poised to pounce but obviously taken aback after making an about-turn to face the speaker. 〝 miles ━〞yes, but no. her intuition was telling gwen that something was not quite right. 〝 who ━ what happened ? where's miles ? 〞
"you're not entirely wrong," 42 spoke as he uncover his chest with a sigh and a shrug of his shoulders. "though i'm not sure where that guy went. he's been working on making a watch so he could go home." this wasn't her miles' world after all, and after everything the two of them talked through, 42 wanted nothing more than to both get him home and get him out of his hair.
honestly, he’s not sure how this random guy in spandex will get him out. the last thing he expects is to be pulled out of the chimney by a web. anxiety bubbles inside of him, but he pushes it down, the thought of growing back to full size and being stuck in the chimney more anxiety inducing than a web.
he lands on his stomach, moving into a sitting position. " thanks… i dunno what would’ve happened if i was stuck in there any longer. "
and as if on cue, he starts to grow back to normal size.
" hey… why are you dressed like that? "
that---was a sight to behold.
"you really did just turn into a grown man, didn't you?" he asked, more rhetorical than anything before he himself were asked about his suit, to which he looked down at it and back to the other.
"why not? what's wrong with it? it keeps my identity a secret, y'know? can't have everyone know who i am."
