Light & Reasons

The moment I open my eyes

I see Light but Light does not see me.

I can’t reach out for it even if I try.

In my heart I cry

But my face just lies.

Reasons keep the Light away 

keeping my heart waiting at bay.

Waiting for the right time 

Waiting until I can fight the Reasons.

If I succeed, Light might see me.

I will finally be free.

If I examine my heart right now, it would be wailing in frustration. Why can’t I speak up? Why do I let people do this to me? WHY?!

As much as people think I am strong, I really am just a coward. I’m not brave enough to say NO. I’m not brave enough to say what I really feel. Maybe I am scared of uncertainty. But then again, who can really tell what would happen tomorrow? Ugh! Even I am so frustrated with myself sometimes. 

I hope I can find Courage soon. Courage to protect the wind from blowing out my dying light. Courage to help me get up by myself and restore “ME”. Courage to help me forget all the darkness. Courage to help me see that the light. Courage.
