Finally someone who gets it! Every time I see modern or no-pokémon au Red being a dog person I groan. Personality wise it might suit him, but with the way he treats e.g. Pika or Vee, he really is everything but a dog person in my eyes

As a multishipper and a huge Yellow lover, I have to say that I always hate how Yellow is portrayed in some fanfictions (or other fanworks) where Red is shipped with another person than her, mostly Blue or Green. And it's so obvious when the writer wants to show her in a bad light. No, she wouldn't throw a tantrum like a fussy child. No, she wouldn't fully drop contact with Red and other said person. And she DEFINITELY wouldn't try to hurt any of them because of her jealousy and anger, or even worse, force herself onto Red.

I'm not implying that she wouldn't be upset, she definitely, or at least probably, would to some degree. But she would also let Red go and be happy with his lover. I don't get the fandom's obsession to make Yellow some sort of villain in their stories, a “laughable obstacle” that so desperately tries to stand in the way, so the guy she has crush on won't get into a relationship. That just isn't who she is.

What I really like about Red's character is that he literally was just some dude before he became a dexholder. All the others had some sort of goal, motivation or backstory that made them want to archive something and technically Red didn't have any of these, he wanted to be the very best, but it sounded only like a kid with a big ego talking.

The unsuccessful attempt to defeat Mew and Green's comments made him realize that his current abilities and knowledge are not enough, which made him overcome his pride and go to professor's lab, after the situation when Saur had trusted Red enough to listen to his commands was when prof. Oak saw a potential in him and send him on a journey, which technically was a start of Red's new life, where eventually due to his rivalry with Green, he became the champion of the league. From the random orphan in the small town, to the champion who is one of the strongest trainers in the region.

So I'm sometimes wondering what would happen, if he decided not to go to the Oak's place. Most likely he would just become a random adult with no perspectives for the future, due to lack of any parental guidance which most likely would help him to realize his true, hidden potential, but as we know, it wouldn't happen. Red was always alone.

A cute little detail that many people don't seem to notice. Durning his final battle with Giovanni in RGB, Red got injured and his jacket was torn in a process, but later when Red gets up it seems that someone sewed it up (most likely Yellow).

Yellow borrows Red's clothes so often, to the point when Red technically can't even call them his property, it's their clothes now. Yellow only gives them back when they don't smell like him anymore, so he can wear it for a while and then she takes them back again. Though, when Red wears them, because of Yellow he has the scent of female perfume, which makes the others make a little fun of him.

So we all know that Red canonically had something similar to panic attacks in FRLG arc, because of his blood link to Deoxys, right? However, when I think about it, Red as he gets older would probably realise that his childhood and the situation that were happening in it, like for example him being frozen or trying to be electrocuted to death multiple times were not normal, like at at. Actually it's even psychologically said that the underage victims (especially really young ones like Red) of various situations are often to understand what actually happened to them when they're older. And it hits him, he notices that he gets more paranoid and nervous about everything, even if it's a small thing. Also the rerun of his panic attacks, back then he thought that those were just signs of Deoxys being near, but this time most of them happen, when he reminds himself of those unpleasant situations in the past.

Red is not the person to quickly reach out for help though, even if he wanted it. He doesn't want people to be worried about him, thus why he's trying not to show his weaknesses or other negative for him emotions. The best example would be that one scene in FRLG arc, where Blue came to thank Red for everything he has done for her. Red was on an urge of crying, but when she came, he immediately whipped out his tears and calmed down, like someone has just ordered him to. So I imagine that when he got together with Yellow, it often was hard to him to keep his calm around her, she would even ask him multiple times if he's alright, since she was sensing that something's not ok, but he was always trying to throw away all the suspections.

Yellow eventually would caught him, as he was going through another of his attacks at night. Her talking to him in a calm, smoothing voice as she gently holds on to his shoulders, telling him to look at her and just breathe, promising that it’s all going to be okay. Her just asking him, if he wants to talk about it, or just going straight for the hug if he says he just wants to stop thinking about whatever caused the panic attack. Yellow holding him tight, slowly rubbing his back, running her fingers through his hair, telling him that it's okay to cry and he shouldn't be afraid of showing his emotions. Wiping away his tears, kissing his forehead, taking his hand and saying, once again, that she will take care of everything, since they have each other now. After Red calms down, he just innocently kisses her on the lips and quietly says “thank you”.

Red, because of his battling nature and other accidents has many scars on his body, so Yellow just kisses him in those places, including his wrists, Red's literal weakest part of the body. Kissing him there by Yellow is the only way to make him shy, to the point he doesn't know what to do, since most of the times he is the one who makes her a complete blushing mess.

The thing I hate the most about past-fanon specialshipping is the fact that they used to make Yellow completely unable to communicate with Red without struggling to say anything or blushing constantly. While in canon she's able to talk with him normally, as it was shown on multiple occasions. She's only embarrassed when someone makes some kind of comment about her in front of him. However, I'm glad it's slowly changing now.

Yellow. Red doesn't like them that much, to be honest he's not a big fan of flowers in general. However, he likes seeing Yellow wearing them, especially because of the cute, somewhat embarrassed face she has when putting them on. This look makes him not hate them that much.

2. Who is the one who likes to cuddle?

Red. He's completely touch-starved.

3. Who has awful taste in music?

I feel like neither, but I think Yellow's the type of person who would listen to the same song over and over again for a few weeks, to the point that Red leaves the room whenever he hears it.

Red. This one is just from the vibes alone, he's been spending way too much time with Gold. His favourite ones are the ones that can annoy Yellow or at least tease her.

5. How did their second date go?

They probably had dinner somewhere quiet, surrounded by candles and flowers, talked about most random things, had dessert and a few drinks.

Yellow's uncle was very cautious about Red and them dating at first, yet later he warmed up and was happy for them. Yet he still threatened him during their wedding that if something happens to her, he will get him.

In public, no. When they're alone, 100% yes.

After emerald arc they slowly started to realise that they actually enjoy each other's accompany yes Yellow had a crush on him since they first met, but she was always a little intimidated by him, since earlier they didn't have time to meet up or even talk on any sort of occasion, to be honest except for the times when they had to save the world together, they barely knew each other. So they slowly got to know each other better and eventually decided that they want to be together.

Yellow actually sort of decided they'd get married eventually shortly after they first met, and was already making plans. Once when they were passing the jeweler's Yellow saw a gorgeous ring and immediately fell in love with it. Red saw it, but pretended he didn't. Later on he bought this ring and popped up the question durning one of their walks in Viridian Forest, and was very nervous about it, even though he knew she'd say yes.

Red.

Depends on what you mean by obscure. Useless curiosities, mostly about pokémon? Red. Medical shit or sometimes botany? Yellow.

Yellow definitely, however Red also reads something from time to time when interested.

I could write the whole analysis with multiple paragraphs about this, but in order of keeping it short I would say that Yellow makes Red prioritise his emotions and needs more, instead of being a people pleaser to everyone like he always is. While Red makes Yellow believe in herself more, making her notice all her worths.

Either Yellow is making a sweet speech during a dinner with the people closest to them, or Red just randomly mentions it, completely out of context durning a conversation like it's nothing.

Surprisingly, Red. He often has to help out Yellow choosing what to wear.

25. Who will punch someone out if they are rude to their partner?

Red will beat the shit out of anyone who even dares to think of mistreating Yellow.

Yellow. She likes to keep pictures as a way to always remember the good things that happen to her, she even prints those photos just to keep them in the albums or on her desk.

I mean... *cough* we already have a canonical explanation to that, Yellow is embarrassed, but sort of happy, meanwhile Red is pretty much chill about it, but doesn't seem to mind.

Somewhere quiet for sure. Either in Red's house in Pallet Town or they would have a small cabin nearby Viridian Forest.

I don't know much about dragons, but they probably would have the baby ones, that are not too big and don't make that much of a mess.

Yellow would be a pacifistic vampire, that feeds exclusively of animals. Red would probably be the same, but from time to time he allows himself to drink blood of the bad guys.

I don't feel like they would dress up, but nun and demon/fallen angel seems suiting.

Absolutely.

They both love to call each other darling.

By being there for one another, either to give advice/help, or just to listen as they vent about their feelings.

Yellow dislikes PDA as she doesn't like being in a centre of attention, she simply feels uncomfortable by it. Red respects it, but from time to time he might kiss her or do something else in front of the others just to tease her.

Yellow is very caring and understanding, yet a bit more strict, and Red is just a spoiling dad, he wants to be the best father ever for his children as he never had a parent figure himself, so he knows the pain. They're both very loving and protective over their kids.

Red keeps random secrets from his early childhood about stupid things and Yellow knowing wouldn't affect anything. He keeps them for no reason, other than a feeling of pure embarrassment he would feel if he told her.

Usually Yellow is calm and collected while Red is angry and destructive. Usually.

Chess. Pretty basic, but they're both pretty competitive when it comes to it.
