what if we stopped making Ambiguously Brown Character and started actually thinking about the race and ethnic features of the characters we made? what if instead of drawing a character that looks like you painted a white character brown, we started varying noses, lips, eyes, and hair? just a thought

Im heavily considering going through and posting what I have of an art archive to save it in as many spots I can (after losing a heap of digital art archived due to a hacker last year) and then work on sharing more.

Not sure how many art pieces I’ll complete this year, but I’ll be sharing more batches of sketches this year to show I’m ever alive

Faebruary Prompt 5 - Fruit

A stawby fairy! I had a couple of different ideas for a fruit fairy, but this was the idea that worked out.

Faebruary Prompt 4 - Fresh Water

This was a little more tricky to complete than I expected. Between trying to blend a humanoid shape with fish elements and NOT making it a mermaid, and the fact I used a bunch of browns and beige colours, which I don’t work with a whole ton.

I had fun blending the markers together to see what happened and broadening my understanding of layering them.

This one probably isn’t a concept I’ll come back to, but it was a good challenge!

Based on a few species of Bass.

Tools used: Copic Markers, Faber-Castell Artist Pitt Pens, Prismacolor pencils, acrylic paint markers, Muji pen

Faebruary Prompt 3 - Desert

A spicy little desert fairy, hanging from a dried plant.

Still conjuring up concept lore for this guy, but I dig him. He’s got a mask to protect his eyes from the sand, with a similar visual effect as fly eyes.

Heyyyy so, theres this cool thing called Febufairy and like you draw fariys based on prompts. So, day two was Iris so, I based the wings on an Iris flower. Since I'm going to keep this oc, I'm not going to keep the wings :P. Anyways, GO TRY IT.

Faebruary Prompt 2 - Mushroom

In Jaragornin, you can find mushrooms alive and running through the forests. These creatures range in size and shape, but all have the same ability to blend in perfectly with any non-magical mushrooms.

These little guys are found everywhere, and can speak the same language as other inhabitants of Jaragornin, however they are often so small they only sound like squeaks.

This is a random Mushroom Spryte I felt like drawing up, to avoid using all browns and tans.
