My Sona <3
Jayce twizzled a small twig between his teeth as he sauntered through the forest. He could already feel his patchy beard growing and creeping over his wondrous jawline. Still, so far he hadn’t met anyone else. Maybe he could grow it out. imagine the ladies faces when he came back with a full on beard… Maybe that would remind them too much of gragas… He could always get it styled, he could see himself rocking the draven stache. A crack echoed through the tranquil silence. Jayce’s stomach growled as he realized just how long it had been since he’d eaten. Whatever this was he would need something to catch it so he could eat it. A sizable rock was all he could find that might work on something small. He didn’t have time to worry about that, he licked his lips and started to sneak towards where the noise had come from. Sadly Jayce had no experience in tracking and gave up within seconds. He slumped against a tree with his head in his hands. Someone give him something to tinker with! He threw his hands in the air and as he did a huge gown smothered his vision. He adjusted his weight enough to catch whatever was inside this ocean of fabric and found himself staring into the eyes of a beautiful blue haired woman. Shit! As quickly as he’d caught her he dropped her on the ground, hopefully she wouldn’t notice he’d caught her at all! ha! “Oh! Sorry! errm… Nice to meet you!” At least if his beard had grown in it could hide his blush. He should have stayed hungry.
One by one her fingers slipped, paying no notice to her efforts to try and hold on. Clenching her eyes shut Sona braced herself for impact, knowing she would be able to weave no spell to save her from any injury she would sustain. Yet somehow when the landing came it was a surprisingly gentle one - for a moment at least.
“Omph,” She let out a surprised breath as she fell to the floor, thankfully the small drop from the gentleman’s arms to the floor was a much smaller one than that which she was expecting. She would come away from this venture with nothing more than a bruise or two, perhaps her day was looking up after all!
Brushing away the muss of locks that fell across her face Sona’s gaze searched for the face of her saviour. And a very suitable one it seemed to be.
Scrambling to her feet Sona attempted to brush some of the dirt and leaves from her gown, a flush darkening her cheeks. How embarrassing to have let someone of his standing see her, a noble of house Buvelle, in such a state. Piltover was a, somewhat tentative, ally of Demacia and she must do everything in her power to keep Jayce’s opinion of both her and her city as high as possible.
Ducking her gaze, hoping he had not seen the abashed look on her face, Sona touched her fingers to her chin before gesturing towards him. A sign of thanks.
Wardrobe Malfunction [Open]
His search for somewhere to call his “center of operation” was proving to more difficult of a task than he would like to let on. The terrain was not like that of his homeland or the other places the cabal sent him on occasion to take out their trash. Where would one look for shelter?
Jhin had continued on his way to find shelter when he heard movement nearby. He crept closer to where he had heard the sound, attempting to stay as quiet as possible. Yet the landscape made it difficult for the assassin to stay truly quiet as he was used to. Though he finally got close enough to see what it was he heard.
Or rather, who. A rather disgusting “who” at that.
He only wished he had Whisper with him at this moment to satisfy his need to be the most well-known Ionian in Runeterra. Yet he was not fortunate to have his preferred tool of trade, so he would have to wait. An artist - no matter how much he detested them - deserved to go out in a beautiful way.
“My dear Sona,” the man called to her, revealing himself. “What a delight it is to see you here,” his voice dripping with sarcasm. “What’s wrong, my dear? Cat got your tongue?”
That voice.
It chilled her to the bone. She could already picture the face, no - face was too kind a word for it, the twisted mask that accompanied such words. She felt trapped, she had no way of escaping... For the hundredth time she wished for her instrument, her etwahl, to give her some hope of out running him. Yet she knew it was a hopeless venture, a killer like him would not stop. Her running would probably do nothing but excite him.
As he stepped into view a small token of relief ran through Sona as she saw he too had at least been stripped of his weapon. There was no doubt he had a million other ways he could hurt her but at least he was not the brawler many of the islands inhabitants were. Perhaps she would have at least the luck that he would wish to keep his distance, for now.
“Get away,” He throat strained, leaving her vocal cords raw yet it was no use, her voice escaped her once more. Clambering to her feet she grabbed for the nearest rock, its jagged edge digging painfully into her palm, and backed herself up against the nearest tree. It was a pathetic weapon but it was all she had. Her heart thudded beneath her breast, remembering the pain he had already once managed to inflict on her. She would not go down without a fight, not against a monster like him.
Waldrobe Malfunction (Open)
The shuffling of fabric caught his attention.
Aurelion Sol paused in his tracks. The tugging of heavy cloth, barely perceptible, was out of the ordinary amidst the whispers of softly blown grass and leaves. The dragon took a step closer, and broke a twig in the process. The cracking of dried wood echoed in the relative silence of the trees and the odd sounds of fabric. The tugging stopped.
The Star Forger stepped forward and strained his neck, his head peering over the bush that seemed to hide the the source of the sounds.
A female human, modestly clothed. Fair complexion, softly glowing against the light. Hair the color of brightly-lit daytime Runeterran sky, slightly disheveled.
Piercing blue eyes peeking from a crown of star-gems beheld the Maven of the Strings.
She would have screamed, had she the voice to carry it out, upon seeing the face looming down at her. Te face of the star dragon. She knew near to nothing of him, yet his appearance alone was enough to frighten her. Demacian’s own guard may be home to a half dragon but she knew Shyvana and the creature before her were league’s apart.
She crawled, backing away from the other without managing to tear her eyes away from the sight of the magnificent beast. Would this be the end for her? Even without his power he would surely be able to crush her as if she were little more than a bug.
Desperately she attempted to let her cries be heard, but yet again she produced nothing but desperate breaths. Her lips formed the words but no one would hear her pleas. “What do you want from me?”
Something Missing// Open RP
Zed felt much better after eating, his body had been trained to survive long periods without anything but it was always refreshing to not be starving. He noticed movement in his peripheral and glanced over to the writing on the ground asking his identity, the ninja hesitated as he realized why she was so unafraid of approaching him is because she had no idea who he was without his mask.
Zed paused for a moment as he looked over the girl trying to gauge her reaction, would she run, flee from the monster the stories had turned his image into, or would she attack knowing he had no weapons and only his hands to defend himself. The ninja took a breath as he prepared for the worst.
“My name is Zed…”
Sona’s eyes widened at the confession, her fingers searching the ground around her for a rock, a broken branch, anything to defend herself but she came up empty. Of course that was why she hadn’t recognised the man, the man whose identity was shrouded in mystery, but she knew enough to know he was dangerous.
But then... Why hadn’t he attempted to hurt her? It was safe to assume that he too had had his weapons stripped from him yet he could still easily overpower her - along with most who resided on this island. Her gaze searched his face, looking for any sign of his intent, but he was unreadable.
Carefully she wrote another word in the dirt, her name, before briefly gesturing to herself and then extending a hand towards him. It was risky, she knew, but if he wanted her dead he would find a way. And if he didn’t... Well, Sona could never refuse the need for help of any stranger.
The reply hadn’t quite been what Jarvan had expected. His military training hadn’t prepared him for a target that neither attacked or ran, but reminded him of his beast hunts. The reaction of a cornered beast was to make a final brutal effort to snatch victory from the jaws of death. However, the woman before him was neither cornered or a beast. Indeed, Jarvan was on the verge of losing his martial cadence. For a moment, he was lost in thought as he scoured his mind for the correct riposte that wouldn’t compromise himself. There wasn’t one.
With a almost palpable change in the situation, Jarvan felt his battle tendency slipping away. As if he was casually changing his winter cloak for his summer tunic. He released his stance and stood straight with his sharpened stick no longer facing towards the bewildered Sona. His grip would not loosen however. Jarvan had learnt that hard way that nothing was ever as it seemed. With a few tentative steps forward Jarvan assessed the person before him.
“That dress… that silk must be Demacian. Where did you get it?” His voice now a tone softer than earlier, but just as pressing.
Thank the heavens.
The thudding in Sona’s chest quieted some as he lowered his make shit lance, it seemed she was not doomed to die at the hands of her liege - for now at least. Though her future didn’t seem so bright considering she still had no way of answering his question. Again she wished for her etwahl, her one constant companion, that she knew was far more recognisable than any of her own features.
Nervously she worried the hem of her sleeve between thumb and forefinger, the gown was made in the Demacian fashion it was true but its aid in avoiding her death ended there. If only she was wearing one of her more formal gowns she could have shown him the custom label sewn in to identify it as her property.
Cautiously she knelt before him, hoping her actions would not be construed as threatening and started to trace a single word into the soft dirt.
Buvelle.
