“ don’t be so hard on yourself. ”  she lays a hand on his shoulder, her smile adding to the nonchalance she’s trying to put towards their situation. “ so you messed up, big deal !   we all do it. it’s part of the gig. remind me to tell you about the time i almost got my ass kicked by vandal savage...  or that recon mission in santa prisca... ” she trails off. if wally were to go into detail of every mistake she’s ever made, they would be there all night. she makes a hand gesture towards him, to stand up. “cisco volunteered to do this. he’s got it covered. ” she spares a glance down at him, and prays that she’s right. “ but, just in case he doesn’t, we have to be alert. he’s counting on us. ”

 “ UNCLE BARRY ? ”  emerald eyes stare at the ground, at his own feet, and focuses intently on the scuffs in his sneakers. “ can i talk to you ? ” wally was never one to keep so quiet, but if he opens his mouth, he might throw up. and not because he ate too much. his actions are too out of character, as he mumbles his words and shies away from his favorite uncle. perhaps if iris were here, he’d feel more comfortable. she’d always been so understanding.
