Some thoughts and feelings on Bloodborne.

Obviously there will be spoilers for this 11 year old game go play it first.

I want to preface by saying I love Bloodborne so much, one of my favorite games absolutely. That being said I do not want a sequel or a remake. I feel like a sequel would ruin the impact that was achieved by having the entire game take place during one night. My favorite ending is the one where you ultimately replace Gehrman as the cog in a perpetual cycle despite your best efforts. A remake I'm less passionate about but I still don't want one purely because I get a kind of feeling of creeping under my skin because of how it looks, it feels like a living crawling remnant of a time gone by and a remake that would make it more graphically detailed I think would lose some of the impact of the game. A remake would also inevitably make some changes that change the feeling invoked by the original game, much like the Demons souls remake (which I love) changing a few things from the original that while not too big still deviate from the original.
