“I still don’t think that’s luck,” Logan shrugged. It was hard to believe in such a concept when the memories of watching his best friend die are still so fresh in his mind, like they had happened a mere day ago. “There’s no point in trying to figure out why some people are still alive and why some aren’t. Trust me, I’ve tried – and it has nothing to do with luck.”
“Then what do you think it is if there’s people still roaming around recklessly? Hm?” She pointed out. It really peeved her that it was the ones who didn’t deserved it that had died much too early. “It’s infuriating.” She was a cop. She was supposed to protect and she hadn’t done any of that.
