"You won’t do shit." She snarled. Her leg hurt like hell and was practically useless, but she was stubborn in nature. She wasn’t ready to accept help from anyone, much less the other Titan Shifter. "I’m fine. Go worry about Ackerman or something."

He huffed, crossing his arms. Averting his eyes, he contemplated what to do. With her injury, she certainly wouldn't be able to move. If she wouldn't let him carry her, he would have to leave her there. And that certainly asn't an option. They had never really gotten along-- or more so, she was never very kind to him, or anyone for that matter-- but she was still a comrade.

He followed suit, glancing around the corner as well. His blood was pumping, this was the moment of truth.

Sunshine shone through the windows as Petra and Eren mopped the floor of the dining hall. 

For a moment, she glanced at the brunette teen as she cleaned.

Eren Jaeger…

Petra couldn’t see what the fuss was about, really. And she meant that in the best possible way.

She didn’t see him as a thing to b e studied or manipulated for humanity’s survival, or a total abhomination of a monster either.

She just saw the boy as he was. Human, even if he could shift into a Titan. He was strong willed, perhaps a little too much so, but kind and brave. 

Frightened too. He didn’t understand his nature any more than anyone else did. He was afraid of himself.

Petra couldn’t help but feel sympathy, even if he could be a danger. Furthermore, she thought he was a perfectly normal person, a nice boy, no matter what everyone else thought.

She was determined to treat him so. 

"I think you might have missed a spot, Eren." Petra pointed to a corner of the room Eren had neglected.

Eren was so lost in thought. In fact, he had been lost  in thought a lot the past weeks. He was so dstracted, screwing everything up. Now everybody thought of him as a monster.

Pft, not even that. He would be honored if they thought of him as that. No, they didn't even think of him as living. All he was to them was a test subject. Nobody took his feelings into consideration, he was just to passed through the state. 

It frustrated him. And now the Corporal wanted him to do all of this cleaning. What did this have to do with killing titans? With taking the advantage back? Nothing.

When Petra spoke, he cringed, throwing his broom down.

"I know."

His voice was cold, and when he turned to see the look in her eye, he immediately regretted it.

He huffed, leaning down to pick it up and brush himself off.

"Look, I'm sorry. I'm just-- what is the point of this?"
