SPExS students are writing their elevator speeches during the "Your Whole Career in 15 Seconds" workshop led by Don Blohowiak, PhD, Director of Professional Studies. After writing up a quick elevator pitch, students broke off into groups to practice and correct their speeches. “Before coming to this event, I always had a tough time figuring out how to best talk about myself, especially in a short amount of time. Professor Iris Krasnow took her Washington Journalism Semester class to study environmental journalism and environmental issues on the Chesapeake Bay. The class is on a large Skipjack sailboat with the staff from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

The International Environment and Development class on the Green Roof at the World Wildlife Fund. It is DC's 3rd largest green roof and the class toured it after an excellent discussion with Jeff Malcolm, Manager of WWF's Business and Industry division.
