She's spotted Chris Pratt and she's not letting him make a Juarassic World sequel on her property O_O
[looking at people younger than me] you have your whole life ahead of you [looking at people older than me] you have your whole life ahead of you [looking at myself] its over
This is what's so fucked up about "nothing that requires the labor of others is a human right".
The labor is already being done under capitalism. The laborers are already being underpaid under capitalism.
When you propose removing the greedy profiteers and paying the workers a reasonable wage, people call that "slavery" while they have no problem with the current system.
They're not even trying to make sense.
30 and still on tumblr? Embarrassing.
LOL try 45
“scientists don’t want you know” is a phrase that always cracks me up because if you actually meet a scientist they will be shaking and crying like an overstimulated chihuahua with the need to let you know
Stole this from somewhere but i think it’s appropriate
Younger folk are getting really good at spotting AI slop, to the consternation of marketing execs.
Found on Mastodon.
From what I remember of back when Millennials were outpacing Boomers at internet and tech stuff in general, this is going to cause a lot of issues for companies angling to use slop in marketing because the younger set are always going to be better at spotting it than the older, but the older are going to be the ones approving marketing campaigns and ads and etc. Meaning, the older people will not ever be able to tell what might actually convince the younger.
The good news is that if it persists and Gen Z and Gen Alpha continue to scoff at the generated stuff, then marketing departments aiming at them will just have to give up on using it because they won't be able to figure out how to fool their targets with it.
The bad news is that this won't apply to scams and campaigns aimed at older people, so once again we're going to have a situation where the kids will be the ones lunging across the coffee table to stop Mom from giving her financial info to that really obvious fake scam mom oh my god do NOT buy that it isn't even a real thing.
Anyway godspeed to the younger generations.
The Reddit post is real.
I just saw this video about anti-AI backlash among the youth
The Google one was hilarious and also scary because the guy just... smiled at every single boo he got. Like he was telling himself that they were messing with him.
Real life Seymour Skinner moment.
Why would students be exited about AI and tech CEOs? These tech bros/scam artists are creating and desperately marketing AI to sell to companies, in order for those companies to get rid of all the jobs the students just spent years of work in upper level science courses to get! Most of these CEOs couldn't understand the science thenselves (most CEOs just buy successful companies, they don't develop tech or invent anything.) These students just spent years working hard and racking up tons of student loan debt, just to be told, "Aren't you excited? We're getting rid of the jobs you've been training for! Now all of your lives will be worse, from the water not being clean, to higher electric bills, to you not being able to ever own a home, or have the security of having a job. Why aren't you happy?"
CEO's surround themselves with a bubble of Yes-men who never tell them when they are flat-out wrong. They are so rich, they have brain damage (excessive wealth causes it, look it up), they have lost all ability to empathize with others or see others as humans, and they think of humans as beneathe them. The public doesn't want AI: we can all see it's a scam meant to make people lose their jobs and make the rich richer.
It's just another scam from the tech bros, like NFTs, Google glasses, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, Second Life and META, Palantir spying on everyone, Tesla and its crappy cars that can't compare at all to what Chinese car companies have at a wayyy lower price... None of these things have benefited regular people, but they've sure made the rich richer. Meanwhile, our govt continues to strip funding from the scientists that will actually help regular people, like the CDC and the World Health Organization, etc.
The kids see through these CEOs bullshit. I love that.
i just found out my mother has had a tumblr since i was 3. I am 20. I am a second gen tumblrina.
i can barely comprehend your power
My 15-year-old daughter was surprised I've got a tumblr older than she is. (I don't recognize the image though: I hope it's not something gross.)
what if you combined a pressure cooker and a deep fryer and made a pressure fryer, the most dangerous kitchen implement in history
does this imply you want to heat cooking oil to past its boiling point at one atmosphere
Its real and its called a broaster.
*grabs america by the shoulders* we have got to lock the fuck in. south asia and the middle east are running goddamn circles around us. we have got to come up with a more dangerous way of cooking food now or we can kiss these quarter finals goodbye
