The detail of the camera panning from So’lek to Tamtey, as Ri’nela says “our threads have become entwined.”

Though the afop fandom is separated by father/daughter dynamic vs shipping. I love this detail, and I think it’s really romantic the way they look at each other, I think it says a lot especially when it is only the two that are shown as Ri’nela says this line.

Wybie with doll coraline

One of my favorite childhood movies coraline, I remember when we were young we’d watch it on repeat in different languages (Russian/Turkish/English) to the point of memorizing the lines. Stop motion is genuinely mind blowing, watching the bts of it after a few years made me appreciate the movie much more.

Anyways this was a study art that I’ve made back in 2024, of course as usual dropped it midway mostly because it was my first year of Uni.

I was inspired by one of my favorite artists @kittchuco , when I saw their design of coraline it was totally how I imaged them to be so that made me fall in love with their art, hence why I wanted to draw Wybie with their design. I don’t know if they’ll see this but nevertheless they were a big inspiration. I remember when they came to Turkey and I was so excited (idk why lmao I was just happy that they came to where I was living 😭😭) Yapped too hard, I’ll probably finish/fix this hopefully this month if not sometime in the future.

Started to make adjustments, it’s humbling to realize how many mistakes I made while drawing the character 😭😭 the nose, the hand… god..

Have to study better when I’m drawing. Can’t wait to render it fully, add some details and post the finished version

I love the book of life and coco movie

Though I’m not really familiar with Mexican culture, I love the day of the dead. After seeing the movies I’ve made some searches to understand it better, I loved it even more after looking it up and learning about it. I wish we could have more movies showcasing other cultures and traditions. By far the movies that show other cultures have been more interesting to me such as Moana, encanto, coco… etc.

I really hope we get to see similar movies and explore other cultures.

My Tamtey 😝 Unfortunately I play on ps so I can only choose from a few options but it’s so cool to see other peoples ocs. It’s a small fandom, so it’d be nice to have some moots. Plus I wanna see yalls ocs 🤭🤭

Idk why but I haven’t seen anyone put on a cap on their tamtey… I like to headcanon that we DIY ed the cap so it’d be more like Navi headgear, our sarentu is very creative indeed.
