My dearest Shay,

It’s been just over 6 months since you left and I still miss you just as much as I did the moment I found out you were gone. I won’t lie and say that it’s not a constant struggle, but I have tried my damndest to hunt the good stuff and to make you proud every single fucking day since. Now with my 30th birthday coming up in just over a week and what would have been yours just 11 days after that, I hate that you won’t be here to celebrate…that I won’t get to turn 30 with you…but most of all, I just miss YOU. The world is so much dimmer without you buddy and even though there will forever be a piece of my soul missing because you took it with you when you left, I am so incredibly grateful to have had the time with you that I did. I cherish every single memory I have of you and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. I hope that you’re finally free and unburdened like you’ve always deserved to be…Until we meet again beautiful, I love you always.
