So thankful that the library is staying open during the lockdown, all scedualled in person classes for next term have all been cancelled and moved online until at least mid February. Today I did some extra research and planning for section 3 of my dissertation in order to fill in some gaps. My focus time came to roughly two and a half hours. I now shouldn't need to do anymore extra research for this particular section, I just need to finish typing up the first draft.

Actually went to a cafe to study on their patio. The fresh air was so nice. All my readings this week seem to be on capitalism 🤷♀️ Mostly review so its not too bad.
Hope you have good study environment vibes too 🌻🍂☕

made a late breakfast this morning; listened to @cythianight’s piano cover of “kiss the rain”. it was wonderfully foggy today, and after completing an item from the weekend’s to-do list, a walk was the perfect post-work treat
my new purchases — some stationery + this super cute glass ✨ i guess this is kind of like a reward for myself for finishing the semester yay (although i’m not officially done ahsjdkd). one more paper!!!!!

being at home has opened my eyes to all the lovely things i missed. even though i commute to uni, i was not able to spend time doing anything i loved, and now i’m able to make time for everything. i don’t feel anxious nor do i feel like i’m running out of time either. everything seems to fit perfectly when i can wander around my house with fresh laundry folded and the doors open on sunny days.
homemade ginger banana bread with almond butter got me through my day of writing yesterday and I (finally!!) submitted my paper on Butcher’s Crossing and slow violence. and now, we wait (and maybe bake a new batch of banana bread)
