how to word this. i think if marika and radagon had the exact same origins, i don't think there would be such emphasis on marika being from the shamans, and especially no emphasis on radagon and his giant lineage (especially denoted by his red hair, which marika does not have). like yeah they're the same person. but also no they're not the same person

marika's line that goes "o radagon, leal hound of the golden order. thou'rt yet to become me. thou'rt yet to become a god"-- an echo spoken by melina at marika's bedchamber-- is also paired with "let us be shattered, both. mine other self." which WOULD suggest that they were, at least by this time, working as one person. but also the melding is not ENTIRELY complete? and radagon, despite being marika's other half, is somehow not yet Her, nor a god (yet)

for the alchemical history of the rebis concept, it does seem that in some cases the rebis is an initial state of matter, but also, in some cases it is literally only the end point, and the end result of the "great work". so i wouldn't say the rebis theming necessarily means they started out intertwined, either (also how tf WOULD you actually be in two places at once, between leyndell and raya lucaria ?? is it notable that radagon being so far from leyndell is given emphasis?) (miquella and trina can separate YES but are they supposed to do that…)

miquella's origins are of course pretty damn conclusive, but trina's are also nebulous as being his rebis half. characterized at least in rumors as "their appearance was as sudden as their disappearance." though we don't necessarily know if that refers to "appearance" meaning the knowledge of her existence as a saint in general, or just that if she visited you, she was bound to leave just as quickly

Marika-Radagon duality always seems to revolve around a few first assumptions. With Miq-Trina, there's always the option that they simply take after their parent(s), the ur-example. But with Marikagon, there is the open question of whether they were simply born like that, or did they become that way? The only unrelated example is probably with the D brothers (assuming you even want to equate these ideas). Either way, having 2 physically distinct bodies is common to both Miq-Trina and D-D examples, so Marika-Radagon having distinct aesthetic is not really anything.

Also, if you want to be very specific, nothing insists that Marika and Radagon must have had distinct origins. All we know for sure is that Marika was a religious practitioner, and Radagon's hair is red like a Giant.

Now, this is somewhat of a joke answer; but if you run with "thou'rt yet to become me" then the implication is that Radagon becomes Marika. But statue regression implies the reverse, that Marika becomes Radagon. So to square this, clearly Marika and Radagon for forever in the process of becoming each other, in a moving equilibrium.
