Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)
voitel:
Oh, he remembers him alright. His fingers twitch in their hoodie pockets; of course, he’s not in his uniform that he had been in in the airport. But that very same annoying voice slipped through and he felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up. It had taken him almost the entire flight to Siberia to get all of the webbing out of the plates of his arms, only for it not really having mattered in the end. Still, he remembered the substance, his nose scrunching and his arm whirring quietly in reaction to his emotions.
He doesn’t know what he’s more mad about; the webbing still, or the fact that Stark had brought such a young kid into the fight. Of course he knows that the kid before him probably thinks himself mature enough to be playing with the Avengers, and in his own right he was good. Still, he doesn’t think a battlefield is a place for anyone, let alone a teenager. He doesn’t call the shots though —— that’s Tony’s job. He’s just along for his own division. Still, he can’t help but feel a slight protectiveness come over him.
“ I know who you are. And I remember the webbing, thank you. ” Voice is curt at that, his jaw turning up ever so slightly. He knows he’s hulking muscle and a solid attitude that makes most afraid. Secretly Bucky enjoys that fact; it keeps people away that he doesn’t want to let in. They’re going to be working together though, especially whenever Bucky joins the Avengers on missions. So there’s no real benefit of being unpleasant, so he drops his guard a little bit, lets his shoulders relax along with his posture.
“ You were just doing what you were told. You’re lucky it’s Sam that got to you with his fancy toys. You had a safe landing. Me? I prefer throwing out the window without a safety net. ” Okay, so he can’t turn off his personality completely. That thinly veiled threat is absolutely there; use that webbing on me again and it won’t be so pleasant. “ I see Stark’s brought you on as a permanent member. I’m not sure if I should be congratulating you or mourning the fact that you’re no longer a normal teenager. ”
“A safe landing? That window didn’t exactly open. I broke through it. Plus that little drone thing your buddy had dropped me from fifty feet up! And then Captain America dropped a building on me! Well, okay it wasn’t actually a building. What do you call those things that you walk through to get from the airport onto the airplane? And–– and then there was the big guy! He knocked me out of the air. You call any of that a safety net?”
It wasn’t fair to claim Peter had been safer off than any of the heroes who had fought that day. Captain America certainly hadn’t been pulling his punches, and neither had Mr. Barnes when Peter had caught his strike mid-swing. But despite the urge to defend himself, Peter wasn’t offended by the man’s hostile tone. Peter had learned a lot since his first encounter with the Avengers.
Brown gaze darted over their form, pausing briefly on the hands stuffed in hoodie pockets, and Peter let his own hand fall awkwardly back down to his side.
“I never was going to be a normal teenager.” The sudden change in his voice surprised Peter. He hadn’t expected the conversation to turn this way so quickly, but Peter had explained as much to Mr. Stark before the fight. After he had gotten his powers, there was no more normal Peter Parker.
A shrug lifted his shoulders and Peter stuffed his hands into his jeans, staring down at his sneakers. “Yeah I get it. I’m young. But I’m not normal. I’ve got all these incredible gifts now and I can’t just–– I can’t sit back and do nothing. Not when I know I can help people. I have a responsibility to help them, to protect them.” Now Peter looked up. “Didn’t you do the same? You were in the army. Didn’t you feel like you had a responsibility to help? Because you could?”
Every time I read your post I can hear Holland's voice and I Cry. 10 out of 10 one best Peter Parker role players ever.

"Dude dude! Whoa! Hey!” Peter looked around to make sure no one was watching then flicked his wrists. Webbing quickly glued Stiles’ sneaker to the sidewalk. “Where are you going? Listen, listen I get you’re mad, okay? But you can’t–– you can’t just.... attack a gunman with a bat! And–– and you’re lucky I was there! And that I didn’t tell Mr. Stark. Because... because he would be really upset with you. As he should be!”
so tell me this is who you are ; they tell me i’ve got something more ; and oh you could be loved ; but i don’t want the lights to find me when i’m dark and lost ; but never on my own — rock + roll by EDEN (from the album i think you think too much of me)

“So you had one Spanish quiz yesterday and another one today?” Tony raised a brow. “That sure is interesting. I guess I’ll let you off just this once if you really have aced it, if you haven’t then I’m gonna tell Aunt May and get you in trouble - its only fair.” He smirked and shoved his hands down inside his pockets, stepping to one side. “You can help me out.”
“Okay, see, now you’re sounding a little judgmental. And you brought my Aunt May into this. Mr. Stark, if I didn’t know you any better, I would think you weren’t happy to see me! And–– and here I am, trying to help you out. You know, lend and extra hand or... EIGHT.” Peter bit the inside of his cheek to hold back a grin. “Does this mean we’re a team? Spider-Man and Iron Man? They could call us... the Spider Iron! No wait...”

“We haven’t–– I mean, we didn’t really get a chance to meet before. Well I kind of met you when there was that HUGE fight and all. Captain America was there. And the really big dude. And that guy who could fly. Well... technically there were a lot of people who could fly. But you–– you were with the guy with wings. And I was there too, but uh, in the mask and–––”
Peter sucked in a breath to cut off his rambling and rocked back onto his heels. So much for being cool. But this guy was a LEGEND! Peter had read all about Captain America’s best friend. How was he supposed to stay calm when this time they actually had a chance to talk?
“Uh, hi. I’m Peter. Peter Parker.” He held out his hand. “I’ll forgive you and your friend for yeeting me out a window if you forgive me for the whole... webbing you up and leaving you tied together thing?”
dcvilinside:
“Yeah, I haven’t gotten around to that one. Sounds pretty cool.” Honestly, it actually did, but Matt hadn’t really been big on movies since he was a kid, the audio descriptions never really felt like the same thing so he just gave up on them completely. “Yeah, a lot of criminals have been complaining about you.” The cops didn’t really like him either, but considering most of them weren’t big Daredevil fans either, Matt knew it didn’t necessarily mean a bad thing. “I guess that means you’re one of the good guys.”
It was a good thing the mask covered his face because Peter was grinning from ear to ear. Just wait until he told Ned that he had met Daredevil. Oh man, this was so cool. “Hopefully from behind bars! I mean, the webbing only lasts for so long. I try to leave people in super obvious places so the police can get them and–– well––” Peter gestured vaguely. “But I’ve heard all about you. You’re a badass! Can you really see through walls? Or is that just a rumor?”

“Hey! Miss! You might want to get down–– HOLY SHIT!” Peter swung out of the way when the gun went off but was back in close seconds later. A quick flick of his wrists and THWIP! the gun was snatched from her hands and webbed to the wall behind Peter. He flicked his wrists again and webbed her hand to the balcony she had been aiming over.
“I’m all for the constitution but you can’t be exercising your second amendment rights at people!”
I don’t want another single pop culture reference out of you for the rest of the trip.
iironbled:
“Huh, fancy that, kid. I thought your Spanish quiz was today? That’s what you told me yesterday.” Tony cocked his head to one side, his brow raised curiously. “I think you should go home and study for your ‘quiz’ since it was yesterday.”
Busted. Geeze. It was like having another Aunt May following him around. That was if Aunt May started dressing up in a giant Iron suit and won a couple billion dollars. “Well you see, the thing is... I mean we do have more than one Spanish quiz a year. Besides, Mr. Stark, I aced that quiz. I’m almost fluent. And I’m keeping up in all of my other classes too. Let me help out.”
dcvilinside:
“Maybe I am.” Matt replied, in a fairly serious tone. Honestly, he kind of missed Melvin’s suit, and this was one of the reasons why. As far as he knew, the mask was see-thorugh, so it didn’t bring up questions like this, and it surely made things a lot easier in order to keep his secret identity. “Sight is overrated, I can fight without it.” He lived his life without it, in fact, but the other didn’t need to know that. “I take it you’re the spider-guy I’ve been hearing about?”
“Seriously? You’ve seen Star Wars? Oh man, that new one with the blind Jedi? Iconic. The way he was all dodging this and evading that like–– he used the force to see. It was so cool. And–– wait.” Peter’s excited tangent broke off. “You’ve heard of me? You? Of me?” Peter hadn’t thought he was popular enough to be on anyone’s radar. But then again, the red suit did tend to draw the eye.
