hi new followers!! im sorry my barry the tarantula post was only MOSTLY true , apparently they did not add the scream in post BUT he was very well-treated by all accounts! and i hope he got paid in mealworms.

my name is ripley and i am a digital artist, i love DnD and BG3 and fantasy gay stuff and draw those things when i can! but lately most of what i post is my pet spiders !!! i also have a tiktok where you can see them in action 🕸️

these are old pics but i have three regal jumpers (Gumby, Milhouse, and Marceline) one putnami jumper (Topsy) and two unknown colonus species (Dill and Dewey)

I also have a pinktoe tarantula named Lolly and a Curlyhair tarantula named Prickle :)

@spiderdungeons Thought you might like my find of today:

Encountered the biggest wild boldie I've ever encountered. I see them every once in a while and they do get to a pretty good size, but this one had to be close to an inch long!

Once it realized I wasn't trying to eat it, it was very inquisitive and watched me from atop the trash bag I found it on. Managed to pick it up and take it to some thick foliage where it was better concealed and could have a better hunt.

oh my GOOODNESSSSS what a big cutie , she must have found so many flies to eat 😭 it's so funny when spiders in the wild get Fat Butt and live deliciously ...

i also wonder if she's got an egg sac brewing bc it IS definitely that time of year for all the spooder moms ;o;

there's a corner on my stairs that i leave dirty because there is a triangulate cobweb spider who lives there and eats the feeder crickets that escape my room, lol. it's like a dungeon crawl for them i guess.

anyways, this morning i discovered the spider had an egg sac with ONE surviving baby ;o;

btw she will not eat the baby and the baby won't eat her! a lot of cobweb spiders, including this species, are attentive moms who share resources with their babies until they disperse. so she's just hanging out with Mama :)
