GenCon is fast approaching and I am vibrating with excitement for the chance to drop the most complete and refined version of Magic Assholes (to date) on people in a couple weeks.
Along with preparing a new one-shot adventure and improving on another that I ran at GenCon several years ago, I've overhauled the character sheet and managed to squeeze almost all of the rules and character creation info into a double-sided quick ref sheet, so I can on-board a three 6-person tables as quickly as possible during the con.
Squeezing this much information into 2 sheets was not easy. Fortunately, I've been getting some practice making things like this from running a monthly RPG Club for my library. These short rules summaries have been helpful for teaching new systems, but I also find that going through a RPG book with the intent to write and condense as many of the rules as you think you need to play onto as few sheets as possible, really helps you cement most of that ruleset in my head. I recommend trying it.
Even though I wasn't aiming to every rule on one sheet, I did manage to get all of the most important stuff on there. I can, and will, say a lot more about all of these rules, but this is practically the whole game. You could take the character sheet and the overview pages, grab some decks of cards, and make a whole crew of characters then start playing today, if you wanted. You might need some ideas for how to handle ships and NPCs, but this is the most important stuff.
Full text after the break if you want to read in non-image format.
Any feedback or comments or questions are welcome. And if you do try running this game for your friends, TELL ME! I wanna hear about your space adventures.
fuuuuck i just realized that the future idealized version of myself cant exist without current me being the catalyst for change and doing hard things. has anybody heard about this

The rise of androgyny and unisex fashion in the 1970s was apparently responsible for the introduction of a sex marker in passports.
Oh wow so me saying "no government documentation should ever include a gender marker for any reason" has been right all along. For exactly the reason I stated when people were giving me shit for not supporting x markers on documents.
something really jokerifying about the US government fearmongering about hrt being horrible and dangerous and then turning around and giving their soldiers hrt because they think it'll make them better at killing and raping people in iran
if I take T that's bad because according to like two cherry picked studies conducted by the Get Rid Of Transsexual Degenerates Association, hrt actually makes us more likely to kill ourselves but that fucking bootboy really really needs T because it'll make him soooo much better at stepping on landmines i hate this stupid fucking country so much
These comments just barely scratch the surface. At one point, Sandberg wants to know why FB can't run a market for human organs. She literally doesn't understand why body parts can't ethically be monitized. To her 'the poors' are a resource to be recycled.
the way many people who aren't transfem talk about harry potter i'm gonna be honest i expected the books to suck you off and put three thousand dollars in your bank account or something

I miss when ads were a single click and then they’re gone. Now every ad has a minimum of three phases where you watch a video, exit the still frame of fake gameplay, and then exit the app download. That doesn’t even touch on the ones that forcibly take you to another app after opening a tab in safari without you ever touching the screen.
I hate advertising. I hate that you can’t do anything without companies jumping down your throat with mostly bullshit ads. I hate that billboards exist. I hate that every company unanimously decided to make their ads longer and longer. I hate that ad blockers try to charge you money and there are in app purchases to remove ads. I hate that my attention has become commodified. I hate that there’s nothing I can do about it.

July 20 (Reuters) - A coalition of states led by California won a pause of Paramount's (PSKY.O), opens new tab $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD.O) on Monday, after they argued letting the merger close would irreparably harm competition. California and 11 states sued on July 13, arguing the deal would create a media behemoth with the power to raise prices in film and television.
