Poltergeist (closed)
The specter raised his head, lifeless grey eyes opening and a grin forming on his face. “Yes! You remember! Hehehe I found you again Jim I found you!” The ghoul cheered, standing with his arms behind his back bashfully. “I missed you too. I thought you were gone and I couldn’t find you…” He spoke sadly, dropping his gaze to the floor in guilt. “M’ sorry for trying to scare you Jim…I didn’t know it was you at first…”
“But you got terrific wishes like I said! See? And I all I had to do was give my soul to that demon. I knew it would work.” The boy took a step forward to try and hug his brother, to wrap his arms around him like he always did. Well he attempted to do so. His hands fell through the earl’s form and he gasped softly, taking a step back. He couldn’t touch him…he had nearly forgotten. He couldn’t touch the living… “I-I’m sorry…” he muttered, tears beginning to stream down his cheeks as well. He spent all this time without his brother, and now here he was and he couldn’t even touch him.
“Don’t be sorry, Luka.” Alois couldn’t help but give his brother a soft smile, though it disappeared at his brother’s next words. “Y-you... what? You gave your soul to a demon? Why did you...” Realization dawned on him, and he hardly noticed the ghost hands reaching through him. It hurt to see his brother cry, but... Alois needed to know the truth. “Did you... did you sacrifice yourself for me? Did you give away your soul just to make me happy?”
He scooted closer to his brother until they nearly touched, tears dripping onto the floor. “You shouldn’t have... it’s been hell without you. A-all the things that happened to me, they’ve... ruined me.” He didn’t want his brother to feel even more guilty about what he had done. It hurt so much, though, to know that the one person who truly cared for him died. “You’re going to stay here, right? You’re not leaving again... right?”
