(Peter turns his head to her, eyes wide and his mouth falls open.) “You’ll check in? Wait, really? (He leans his head back a little, tilting his head as he stares at her. He can feel her trying to make light and, yeah, maybe he’s being too dramatic about it. ‘She might not be gone too long,’ but that’s probably just wishful thinking on his part. He gives her a tiny smile and squints his eyes a bit.) “Wait….is this like how normal people checking on me or are you going to send me coded messages on my windows? Because if you are….maybe binary code would work better. I’m not really fluent in my Morse and riddles are….going to take longer for me to crack. I still have to use all my hint coins on my Professor Layton games.” (His smile grows a little bit but he casts his eyes down, sighing lightly before looking back up at her. He doesn’t quite believe her, mostly because the world might not remember the Black Widow, but it’s not the world that’s got it’s eyes in every nook and cranny on her. It’s not the world who just try to bring her to court and arrest her. Peter knows they never forget, people like that never forget people like Nat. But….he wants to believe her. She seems to have a better knowledge of how to disappear so maybe he doesn’t need to worry. 'I probably still will, considering it's me we’re talking about.’ He nods, eyes down to the floor, and he’s trying to look at this differently. 'It is different, it’s not like….like all the times before. This is a goodbye and a see you later and she said she’d come back. It’s Nat, nothing bad’s gonna happen to Nat.’ And he says it to himself again, hoping it sticks, hoping he’ll actually believe it. He looks up at their reflections and her smile and gives his own, chuckling lightly.) “Sorry, I’m not so good with goodbyes.” ('Everyone I have ever cared about left and never came back.') “But I promise, I’ll be good, and I won’t worry so much.” ('I am so afraid that I am never going to see you again. Because you're my mentor and my friend and before either of that, I copied your moves because you were my hero.’) “But, well, before you go…I do have one more question…” (He looks at her through the corner of his eye and he begins to whisper.) “I kind of guessed that everyone is going to be laying low for awhile but….do you have any idea where Clint is?”
