Buddyfight Plugin for LackeyCCG
Hey guys! New Spikebro Yako here. Remember when the spike brothers worked to keep the Vanguard Lackey Plugin updated? Well screw that, I have to add like ten different card releases. How about something to tide you over while I sort out that mess?
Bushiroad's new card game, Future Card Buddyfight, is clearly made for a younger audience. Even so, it's a lot of fun! For players who don't have a lot of money to splurge on cards or whose only card-playing friends live far away, I wrote a plugin for LackeyCCG so you can now use it to play Buddyfight.
I haven't managed to get it to autoupdate or anything fancy, but installation is pretty easy.
All the files you'll need to play Buddyfight are available here [LINK]. The readme has installation instructions, and I've copypasted them below for convenience:
You’ll need Lackey. Go to http://www.lackeyccg.com/ and download it from your platform (left sidebar.)
Once it’s installed, download “Buddyfight.zip.” zip it into a new subfolder called “Buddyfight” in LackeyCCG/plugins.
Download “buddyfightplaymat.jpg” into LackeyCCG/images/backgrounds.
Open Lackey and look at the top row of tabs.
Go to “plugin” tab. Click “Browse installed plugins to load one…” and then click “Buddyfight.”
Go to the “preferences” tab, then appearance. A little ways down, you’ll see “Table viewing and playmat preferences.” From there, select “Browse table playmat images…” and then “buddyfightplaymat.jpg.”
Right now, all the trial decks, booster sets, character packs, and [English only] promo cards are incorporated into the plugin. The plugin comes with the trial decks pre-made and loaded in, so if you just want to try it you can start immediately.
Currently, some (unwatermarked) card art is missing, notably for almost all SP variants, the March tournament promo card and two RRR cards in Burning Valor. Other than that, it should be complete!
