not my best Bal art, but the goal was speed while staying detailed. thought I was done with white armors but turns out "The Ideal Invincible Dragon, Bal Dragon" is some sort of fusion/retrain of the base white armor, so it counts.

Today is my Buddyfight Boy Wonder son Tasuku’s Birthday! 🎉 and once again, I drew him in my anime style like I did last year. This time tho, I drew him in his Buddy Police uniform given it’s an iconic look to him, barring his current look on Triple D/X, since his debut into the series and add some blue and yellow stars and sparkles to represent the stars in the first ending song of the anime, his star pulsar deck, and his succeeding world, Star Dragon World. Plus adding sparkles are such a nice touch to the design for some ✨ shojou-style pizzazz ✨

Speaking of the Star Pulsar, I know that I didn’t get to add that core element into the drawing unlike last time, but let’s imagine it’s indeed hovering around the corner next to Tasuku; just offscreen that is

the people he knows have the impression that Kyoya sees through the things they try to keep hidden. they would be mistaken. Kyoya's smiles at them are sincere, if not unguarded. they have so many strengths. so many tools for him to choose from. the world is a workshop and Kyoya is the artisan. Rouga would like that comparison. it's gentler than saying the world is a weapons cabinet and Kyoya loves warfare. their secrets aren't his concern until they become liabilities. there isn't enough time in the world for Kyoya to uncover every little mole and hidden motive. so he plays to his strengths. he has many of them. as everybody does.

Rouga never cared much for the utility of things. he had the mistaken impression that If he was strong enough, he could defend himself without using anything. Kyoya smiled because he both admired and disavowed that quality. because he disparaged it in his heart, it was feather light to watch, like a fluttering piece of down, one amongst thousands of drifting snowflakes.

snow to be dirtied, a carpet of white to be trampled -the ground. Kyoya didn't mind snow to walk on. that was Rouga. everything with its own queer meaning. he could appreciate it even more knowing it was made for him to use. he genuinely marveled, and set aside.

Kyoya had never been in love. He didn't think it was a good thing to be. He welcomed the idea, and stepped away from the relationship itself.

Not that he liked saying Rouga's name. Sometimes he thought it would have been better had he never given Rouga a name.
