I know that's not how you spell rocket. I was in a band for a bit and my stage name was Spike Rockit. like "rock it", see?

Watching some Netflix, digging the new Voltron, drew Shiro. And here it is.

Self-portrait. Lots of flaws but I'm tired of working on it. And yes, I actually do wear my facial hair like that. It makes me feel like Green Arrow.

I don't know why but I felt the need to draw my Guy Gardner redesign as a tiny cartoon version of himself. So, this is that. Yep.

Haven’t had as much time to draw as I’d like lately. Whipped out a quick Guy Gardner, tweaking my previous design a bit, still leaning pretty heavily on 90’s, pre-Warrior, yellow ring Guy. Just pencils and basic colors, probably not going to do a more finished version. Kinda feel like I made him too good looking, next time I’ll have to beat him up a bit more.

So, I wanted to draw Green Lantern and the Flash and as a guy who grew up reading comics in the 90s Kyle Rayner is my favorite GL and my favorite Flash is Wally West (super happy that rebirth kept both Wallys BTW). I was planning on doing a redesign of the Flash suit but frankly the thing is about as close to perfect as a superhero costume could be. Try as I might I couldn’t really do anything to improve on it. But then I remembered John Fox, long story short he was from the 27th century and replaced Wally for a bit because of time travel shenanigans. And he has never had a good costume, ever. That said, I always thought his black and blue suit had potential so I gave it a little tweak and here we are.

Here's another original superhero. Not sure of the name yet but I figure he has some sort of ghost powers. Like basic ghost type stuff, flight, passing through walls, maybe some kind of ectoplasmic blasts, and the ability to summon spirits. Eh, I dunno. The idea isn't super solid yet. Had a couple different ideas for the cape. Hmm, my personal superhero universe is all dudes so far. I'll need to work on that. Also, probably shouldn't be goofing around with this when I have paid work waiting.

Been thinking a lot about Usagi Yojimbo lately • Also buy this artwork on apparel, phone cases, home decor, and more.

So, here’s a thing I spent entirely too much time on. I’ve been playing a lot of For Honor lately, (I play samurai, natch) and being the huge nerd that I am it got me thinking about this guy. New version of my Bobcat skull design up on Redbubble. Avoiding real work, because I'm irresponsible, so I threw some basic color on that tiny Luke Cage sketch I did a while back.

So, bit of a shift from the normal fan art style thing I do here. I decided to start selling some of my designs on Redbubble. I call this one Bobcat X and its mostly a test to see how this whole thing works. Anyways the design is available on shirts and phone cases. Posted this earlier and got a bunch of likes and even a few reblogs. I’m super glad people liked it but I noticed a few little errors I’d made. I tried to let it be but it bothered me too much so I took another pass on it. Basically just cleaned up the shadows on a few frames. I don’t think I’ll do anything else with this, I’d be too tempted to just scrap it and start over.

So in light of the news, (Young Justice season 3, y'all!) I wanted to do a little something. So here's a Superboy and Wonder Girl in old school Young Justice comic style. This was a redraw of a scene from season 2 with SB and Miss Martian but I made it Wonder Girl since they were an item in the old comics. Mostly I used this as a learning experience. Doing it and researching how the actual show was made showed me that I was doing a heck of a lot wrong and I look forward to applying this new knowledge in the future on better animations.
