I love the way Gimli positively glows when the light hits him. I don't think he does it consciously, but that spot seems to have the right amount of "toasty" at certain times of the day. And I probably need to scrub that portion of the floor down. :: sigh ::

This one's been moldering in the TBR for a while, and it's time to pull it out. Not that I haven't read THE BIG SLEEP before; I was first introduced to Raymond Chandler at the legendary Scene of the Crime bookstore back in the 80s. But I was waxing lyrical about his descriptions the other day, and decided it was time to dip back in to this book again, especially with the annotations.

That moment when you walk in and the supervisor wants to talk to you.

I ordered this last year when I was in the middle of cancer treatment. The box arrived, was put aside for some reason, then buried under some things. Cleaning up my office this morning, I was excited to discover it, a bit of unexpected book mail joy. (I think it might have arrived in the middle of my reading drought because I just didn't have the energy. #bookstagram

I've got so many great pictures of Keanu, as he was not just a very handsome and photogenic cat, but he was often caught with great expressions. This one was taken after he'd been at the catnip again.

The Pantages Theatre in Hollywood is a great place for small details. The lobby and house are filled with amazing Art Deco style, which was lovingly restored in 2000, including these tiles from one of the Ladies' Rooms, carrying through the striking theme of the building. Love going down there for shows, and got to do it twice last year, for Hadestown and Suffs.

Finished our last trip to Disneyland until September (passes blocked for the summer) and, as is our habit, finished the day at the Grand Californian's Hearthstone Lounge. Which gave me a chance to appreciate the beautiful stained glass in the doors of their front entrance, one of my favorite sights. #disneyland #grandcalifornian
