i have a short show I've always wanted to make, like a handful of short episodes just to share my story idea. but im thinking maybe I should just comic it out to get the damn thing done finally??

anyway I've followed your blog for years and years now, and I want you to know that my characters are going to be hurt badly and repeatedly, their past injuries will have long lasting effects on them no matter how well they heal, and they are going to glimpse hope and have it crushed over and over <3

never ungrateful for any amount of whump or h/c fic being written but sometimes it's rough to power through when the whump or h/c is more window dressing lol, like shirts and shoes being easily taken off and put back on with broken limbs yup the character definitely doesn't need help, stitches that are never addressed again did they get them out or have their bandages changed who knows, wounds being described in infected ways of course there's no fever because the one antiseptic spritz took care of it, not woozy after being starved why would they be, the week of torture being solved with a twenty min hospital stay and an antibiotic shot sure let's go with that, I will continue to read this multi chapter fic after all of this has taken place in the first two chapters

I keep meaning to come back in a big way but like ofmd destroyed me, I still haven't fully recovered lmao, the whump wasn't worth it, and then I haven't found any thing else lately, it's like new shows that I'm watching aren't long enough to have whump episodes *sobs*, though I did enjoy the minor amount of armand whump at the end of iwtv s2, but they're vampires and they heal somewhat quickly *sigh*, but I do still think fondly of whump and I hope that perhaps it will come back to me in a big way soon

bloody lower lip, from biting too hard (self-inflicted or otherwise)

Hi! I don't know what your blog title is supposed to mean, but my first reaction was 'of course you get chills after spilling blood, true dat!' xD

XD that's basically it, yes! having a "spill" (like getting hurt and stuff) and then getting those chills (from blood loss or shock or fever or whatever) ... love them both!

When a character's been hurt, but they've "rested enough" and they've got stuff to do and they're like *groans* "see? I'm fine." as they try to stand up, all sweaty and grimacing, and the rest of the team exchanges looks cause the character is obviously not fine but it's also useless to try and tell them that... that's good stuff.

How whumpy are the Alienist books?

No idea when this came in, cause tumblr is a functional site, but I actually haven't read the books (despite best intentions lol). As far as I know the show is whumpier than the books, esp the first session, like it really lays it on thick, but that things still happen in the books. I have also heard that, generally, the books are better than the show in multiple areas. So. I'd definitely check them out if you're interested in The Alienist, but maybe don't get hopes too high if you're only looking for whump.
