It's upsetting how people always make a big deal out of the teensiest amount of stabs regardless of how many other interesting skills you have.

Coughing up blood into a hand and then looking at it with shocked/terrified eyes

The Tension™ of one character tenderly patching up another character's wounds and scolding them for being reckless

Apologizing right before passing out

A hand cupped to a forehead to check for fever

A hand going under a jacket or shirt and coming away bloody

Forced to kneel with a sword under their chin

Lying about the severity/hiding of an injury

Collapsing after a big magic spell/magical exhaustion draining them

The comic relief character joking about their trauma/injury to dissuade worry from them

Hero injured/collapsing on villians doorstep or vice versa, "I didn't know where else to go"

Being curled on the ground and then kicked in the ribs (literally being kicked while they're down)

Being injected with a needle of drugs/potion by villian that knocks them out

Having a terrible nightmare and waking up with a cry in a cold sweat

Fighting against unconsciousness (unsuccessfully)

könig on a mission, he’s following an enemy, hulking form running behind the scrambling soldier who decides to hide in an apartment that has a window open, body twisting to get through the little gap

könig follows suit, breaking the window and stumbling into the apartment, standing up straight to his full size before lunging forward in the hallway, searching for the enemy

only to be hit in the chest with a fucking bat, stumbling back against the wall before he hears a screech, eyes snapping forward to see you, running full speed at him with.. a knife? and stabbing him in the stomach

he wakes up hours later with his wrists tied up, sitting in front of the other man, whos in worse condition than him, nose broken and blood covering the bottom half of his face, absolutely out of it from the hit he received, and with you standing above them with your knife in hand

months later, könig is your boyfriend, praising you on your self defense, and stroking over the scar on his skin, smiling like a fool in love, other arm wrapped around your side as you apologize yet again for the pain you caused him, only to be met with a kiss, hungry and desperately trying to convey his love
