wait what ?? gem the other day – HOLD ON !!

she thought it was just a random plastic gem from some party shop or whatever, not anything more as she just remembered using it as some paperweight for flyers… oh god.

“ … uh y’sure you aren’t in the wrong place ? uh … sorry if i picked you up or whatever . is this like a hermit crab thing can i bring your gem back to y–” her eyes darted to the perfect heart cut on the other’s chest, seeing it square on the pink other before she felt arms wrap around her.

like a boa constrictor it was tight but thank god she was built to be a bit more sturdier as she just was more baffled and less, well, her usual avoidant distant self.

“ mhn- uh … me specifically … ? ” she looked around, eyeing the mirror as she confirmed yep; this wasnt the result of any sort of bad trip just it was all fixated on reality… an odd turn of events but best accept it as she didn’t really budge from the gem’s grips. “ well first of all y’even know my name ? like uh … weird to be friends but dunno each other on that basis, right ? ”

       she squishes her new found best friend’s cheeks, voice in a playful tone. she laughs a bit before before pulling back a bit a bit to fully introduce herself.

ugh, why was it so hard to deal with so much ?! the passing months were too much as it finally weighed down upon her shoulders as she rubbed her temples out of frustration until … a chipper voice called to her with enthusiasm as she looked behind her, backing away.

GOOD GOD, what a surprise but she just stood motionless as she looked at the bright other; it was like day and night as she felt uncomfortably out of place being next to someone with such jovial energy in her heart.

“ … huh ? uh … i’m all good … y’sure you didn’t mistaken me for someone else ? ” she questioned, a finger gestured to her as she kept her stance, not flinching but her usual flat expression replaced with confusion.

               ❝ how could i mistake someone for my BEST FRIEND ? ❞ 

       she asks, a gloved finger poking molly’s nose. her smile never fades        as arms, literally, wrap around the other’s. she hums to herself a bit       eyes focusing on friend.

              ❝ don’t you remember, buddy ? that gem you found the other                  day ? that was me ! and since then i was formed to keep you                  entertained and happy ! ❞

       coming back to the earth took a lot of guts for the gem -- she wasn’t sure she        was going to be ready ; but being away from someone she had once considered        a best friend really started to make her feel a bit anxious. nonetheless, she was        happy to see him again.
