Reunion (Pan and Baelfire)
"Really? You seemed to be having a lot of fun with the other boys," Peter reminded Baelfire, letting out a small chuckle. He leaned down to the boyās eye level, studying him closely with the smirk still on his face. "You really havenāt changed at all, Baelfire. Youāre still the lonely little boy I met a few years ago," he breathed, straightening up and placing a firm hand on his shoulder. A rather sharp gust of wind blew over, causing their hair to whip forward and the flaps of their blazers to flutter haphazardly in the wind.
"Letās go inside, shall we? You must be cold," he said, not really giving the boy a choice as he started leading him over to the direction of the Academyās library.
Baelfire didn't respond because he did enjoy himself. He enjoyed the free sensation that he feeled when he was jumping along with the lost boys. He remembered how he forgot about his papa and the ball of feelings inside of him. Bae backed away when Peter came closer to him. His confused state of mind began to show because of the same confused expression on his face.
And then, out of the blue, it clicked. The piper wasn't trying to be his friend. "You're wrong," he responded quickly. Of course Baelfire was not telling the truth. His papa was basically treating him the same making him feel the same. Still making him feel neglected and that his papa didn't trust him. "I have changed and so has my papa. He's different." he continued as he was being ushered.
"What bring you to the Academy to begin with?" he asked in a smooth tone. It was a simple question that Bae was curious about but he didn't want want Peter to get annoyed or defensive.
