he feels so shy around imogen but especially now, with her sweet words about wanting to cuddle and listen to his music. she seems genuinely interested and it makes him kind of giddy, like a little kid with a crush or something. “o-or we could cuddle now… and you could sit in my lap while i play.” he imagines his arms around her, hands on the guitar. it’d be soothing, doing what he loves with someone as amazing as her sitting in his grasp and enjoying it as much as he is.
he’s kind of surprised when she insists he’s hot, saying he’s the hottest one in their school like it’s a fact. gabriel has never thought he’s ugly but he’s never seen anything special and most certainly not looks that could rival everyone else at millwood. it’s kind of her to say and it also makes his face hot, knowing that she thinks so highly of his looks. “then i guess i’m lucky that the prettiest girl decided to pay me a visit.” she really is the most beautiful girl at their school, lighting up every room she walks into with her gorgeous smile and perfect sense of style. “but seriously, you don’t have to apologize…” if anything he wants to hear more of her praise and he feels like he needs it.
her hand brushing his makes his stomach flutter, gaze averting a little in shyness as she hugs the plushie. it looks even cuter in her grasp, next to her shining face. he’s about to tell her not to feel bad and insist that he wants her to have it when she leans forward, causing his thought process to come to a halt as her lips press gently against his cheek. it makes his heart race, face tingling where she kissed and then spreading throughout his entire body. it’s hard not to feel that desire for her, wanting her so badly, especially when she looks up at him all shyly after kissing him. “i…” he’s speechless, so in love with her that it’s hard to breathe. he can still feel her mouth against his cheek, stuck in the memory of how it felt. he needs more.
fingers gently grasping her chin, he tilts her face up, his dark eyes drinking in her pretty features. leaning in, he softly brushes his lips against hers, eyes fluttering shut as he gently kisses her.
he makes it impossible not to fall head over heels, the worst part was he had no clue the power he held over her because just the suggestion he makes has her feeling weak and her heart pounding even louder than before because the idea of getting to sit in his lap while he plays his music for her sounds something out of a perfect fantasy. “i’d love that....” she says softly, cheeks flushing bright. “i’d love that a lot actually.”
she couldn’t believe she just kissed his cheek, feeling impulsive in the moment but it felt as though these feelings were being bottled up for far too long, she liked him so much and all she wanted was for just a moment...was to know what it felt like to kiss his cheek. she stands there nervously for a moment, almost worried she just fucked things up as she hugs the squish close to her chest in almost a shy manner as she waits for him to say something. however, what he does instead takes her by surprise. the way he says almost nothing as he takes her chin in his hand, making her meet his dark eyes and his big long lashes seemed even more unfair this up close. it’s then he leans in, pressing his lips to her own and it felt like she couldn’t breathe in that moment, head feeling so dizzy she’s almost sure she blacks out for the first time.
she kisses him back slowly, her free hand coming up to cup his cheek as she purrs a little into the kiss, learning what his taste is like combined with the softness of his lips. she felt warm all over, knowing her cheeks were probably as pink as the stuffed animal in her arms as she couldn’t believe she was finally standing here kissing him. it was sweet and perfect, she almost didn’t want to come back up for air.
