Little snippet:

Fidgeting with Raven’s hairpin, Astarion had spent the entire carriage ride thinking about the right words to say when he would confront her for the first time since their last disastrous encounter. The carriage had been stopped for quite some time now, and he was mustering the courage to step outside. Would she want to see him? Would she agree to go with him? What if she accepted? Would he be able to redeem himself?  Their last date had been a complete mess, he knew it too well. It had been an opportunity to have it all, but in the end he had nothing. It was all his fault. All his chances were ruined, he was well aware of that.  Astarion scratched his chest, trying to relieve the ache that had been present there since that day. He was so nervous… Turning his face to the side, he looked at the closed box beside him, a gift he wanted to give her. If she never wanted to see him again, at least she would know how he really felt about her. Perhaps it was time for her to know some things about him, so she could understand. But… and if she couldn’t understand?

The days after Astarion’s dream were hectic. It was a novel experience to him—to dream. A real, vivid dream. But could he even call it a dream? Confusion churned in his mind… His thoughts were all messed up. The more he tried to make sense of it the less he understood. Logically, the dream should have been about her, and only her—just one more fleeting glimpse of her to soothe his grief and offer the answers he so desperately pursued. But instead of clarity, the dream had only left him with more questions, gnawing at his already restless mind.   Why would she be there just to show him Raven? Because… that’s what she was doing there, wasn’t she? She hadn’t told him anything he wanted to know; all those questions he’d been asking himself for years and years remained unanswered, but strangely he felt calmer about it than before.  The only thing she had done was to make him see Raven. Was she trying to console his broken heart, gently pushing him toward the truth he had begun to suspect? Was she telling him that Raven could be the one able to mend his heart?

The day of their second meeting arrived, and Raven was shrouded by the shadows, lingering there, in a corner of a quiet street, observing Astarion as he stood by the door of The Beached Leviathan tavern. She’d been there for quite a while now, just savoring the simple pleasure of watching him from afar, picking up his mannerisms, studying his features.  People entered and left the tavern, each casting wary glances at his haughty figure out of the corner of their eyes, with furrowed brows, suspicious of such a presence around there. A high elf at the door of the Leviathan? And all dressed up like he was on his way to a grand ball? She stifled a chuckle at the sight of him, amused by his stubbornness. She’d told him days ago to dress plainly, but, of course, he couldn't lose a chance to show off his pretty clothes.  Truth be told, he didn't seem bothered at all.
