i’ve had the bandori game for all of five minutes and homotron3000 here will not stop doing her dramatic ass gay poses while dropping the most extra loser lesbian lines in every scene she’s in i’m crying why is kaoru like this
This is literally the funniest fucking thing Edgeworth has ever said
Ok now that splatfests are basically over i think its safe to say the funniest splatfest moment ever was the 7% popularity vote Team Bigfoot got. Genuinely funniest result ever
still dreaming of that night
some more shivers that I am sending down your spine as we speak
thank you splatoon fandom for this one
twitter version
Apparently people are saying that Team Past won because they got all the Splat 1 veterans on their side tryharding in their lobbies, so as a reminder: Truly high-skill players represent such a monumentally small part of the playerbase at large that their contributions do not move the needle in any meaningful way. Even if you played every single minute a Splatfest was active and won every single match, your contribution to the final result is less than a hundredth of a thousandth of a percent. Just a small drop in the ocean, a grain of sand on the beach.
Splatfest results are, and have effectively always been, random. There is absolutely no way to predict or explain who will win and why, there are simply too many players with too many differing skill levels and too many infinitesimally small variables in thee dozens if not hundreds of matches they participate in. You can at most rationalize the popular vote, but the popular vote is really the least meaningful contributor to the final result.
But all of this is fine, because Splatfests aren't really about winning or losing. They're silly popularity contests whose in-universe origin (poorly understood, decontextualized scraps of human speech in the form of radio waves from thousands of years ago being picked up by a fax machine) make them intrinsically pointless.
The actual point of Splatfests is and has always been the festivities themselves. Hanging out with your friends, taking in the sights and sounds, and enjoying a bit of a friendly competition. The point of Splatfests is playing Splatoon, and people who go about grumbling because "Team so-and-so were all tryhard" or "the results are clearly rigged" are just trying to protect their bruised egos, a problem they wouldn't have if they simply realized that it doesn't matter, and that's fine.
grandkids said they can't argue or they'll get kicked out :(
shes so cool
went to check the results of the splatfest and noticed big man kept being cut out of the art for most articles

I'm really glad that so many people are liking Qilin-Keldo haha! Inspired by that, I drew the rest of the swords of justice based off the other 3 creatures that accompanied Pangu in China's heaven-separation story: The dragon, phoenix and tortoise.
that’s a wrap!
