Wand girl,
Ive seen talk of after an E injection felling a sort of high of that? Is that a thing?
we don't know, but it could be a thing yeah.
do cis women experience immediately tangible changes to their mood based on changing hormone levels? of course. why would we be any different?
I think it's probably misleading to call it a "high", whatever effect exists is minimal enough that it's heavily debated. I certainly felt Immediately and Totally Different after starting HRT, I couldn't tell you if that feeling went away or I just got used to it or what. when you're on drugs, it's pretty obvious that The Drugs Did Something.
This is a thing for me at least, and I somewhat regularly intentionally trigger it (maybe not a good idea). My original E dosing schedule was 6mg/7days of ev. The first time I injected it felt highly similar to being on microdose of shrooms, and I noticed a tangible come up, peak, and come down. Not enough for visuals (obviously) but enough that everything felt significantly more real. could that be because by taking a concrete action towards my transition I relieved stress that was making me dissociate? Totally. that Probably contributed a lot. but the thing is, this kept happening every week. Maybe 4-6 hours after my injection I’d feel a similar sensation. And I also felt an inverse. Very consistently on the day Before my injection I would feel absolutely terrible. I’d have no motivation, low energy, and less manageable dysphoria. Now this is likely because I didn’t have enough of either sex hormone. my T isn’t going to suddenly unsupress itself one day of the week. so, I change my dose to 4mg/5days. And now, I don’t get that “high” feeling anymore. Inchresting.
so, one time when I’m injecting I inject 6mg again. And I get the high again. Now maybe this is all placebo magic. The brain is incredible and I don’t want to even pretend to know how it works. But everytime I want to feel that high, I inject 6/7 and I feel it. Every time I don’t I inject 5 (4 was too low a dose for good e levels for me) and I don’t feel it. do I recommend you do this? No. This is completely ridiculous and probably dangerous. would this work with other esters or uptake methods? I’m tempted to say no. Injectable EV has such a short half life and it’s likely the high peak/trough nature that causes this. Emphasis on the trough, because ev doesn’t peak E2 in the blood until much later than the effect I feel, and because my more recent highs feel much more subdued when compared to ones I had on a 7day schedule which had a very noticeable trough.
Absolute nonsense. TLDR: me talking out of my ass
Felt compelled to share though.
