Can we talk about how in District 11 after Rue’s death, the entire district rioted. They burned and broke things. Everybody watching the movie loved it because they saw the unjust government for what it was. A little black girl died. Yet when a black boy dies in real life and people start riots over their unjust government, they’re ridiculed and labelled “dangerous”.
A sixties kid flashes the peace sign after being beaten by riot police.
I never want to forget this image.

So you understand that little white girls seeing only thin white girl’s being showcased, praised and adored, can fuck them up. But you don’t get why Black and Brown kids seeing white faces constantly is a problem. Okay.

Interesting child abuse poster
A poster made by The Spanish organization ANAR Foundation (Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk). They started a new street poster campaign that uses the process of lenticular printing to secretly send a message to abused children without alerting their abusers, even if they’re walking together.
Anyone over 4’5” sees this view, with a caption: “Sometimes, child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it.”
Anyone shorter sees the beaten child version of the poster with another caption saying: “If somebody hurts you, phone us and we’ll help you.”
I love this. This is brilliant.
This is the kind of thing that keeps me going, bravo to everyone who had something to do with this campaign. This is beautiful!
Bring this to America!!!
