1. Ink the top of the wall so they cant go up 2. Spray them with ink while they’re in squid form or when they turn back into a kid while trying to reink the walls 3. Laugh as their poor squid soul floats away 4. Carry on with your business,

Someone splat dashing towards you? Splat dash towards them. It’ll confuse them and you might be able to get away!

I just realized that there are people who don;t know what splat dashing is! I should have made a sploon tip about it earlier… 

Splat dashing (also known as splatterdashing) is a way of moving, used by skilled players, to get out of sticky situations where the enemy has turf control.

This is the gist of it, since some people can do it faster that in that video (splooshes can do it quite fast for example). As you can see it’s a fast way of getting around and out of a sticky situation, but be careful cause you might accidentally dash off an edge (like on mahi…)

If you happen to have the first sploon game try and practice your bomb throwing with the basketball net in the training area. Being able to throw bombs quickly and accurately will really help you in salmon run!

motion controls aren't always good for everyone (i can't use them because i have jittery hands which throw my aim off balance and i end up getting nauseous from it) so you should use the controls that fit you best! and don't underestimate analog users either... we can duke it out with the best of em!

A very good point! That tip was aimed towards people who think motion controls are lame and have that gamer™ superiority complex about using analog. A lot of the time those people end up using motion controls later on because they find them better for themselves. There’s nothing wrong about using what you’re more comfortable with!

An easy way to get ability chunks is to scrub your splatfest shirt. It only costs 2000 coins, much less than what it is for everything else.

Try to become familiar with all the types of weapons. It’s more important now because it will really help in salmon run, there’ll be no need to dread getting certain weapons if you already know how to use them!

Since sploon 2 is the second game, there are many seasoned veterans with lots of knowledge and experience about splatoon in general. Make sure to listen and learn when they have stuff to say! 

With that said, motion controls are good. Please just use motion controls, you will find that analog controls are a tad bit hard to deal with.

Once you use a compatible amiibo on one account you can’t use it on another account. If you try, all you can do is take pictures with the amiibo or with the clothes it has saved.

After you’ve met your quota on Salmon run your job is to stay alive. Especially if your team gets splatted quite often. Its good to try and collect eggs to go over the quota, but focus on staying alive till the next round or until the end.
