Huffing, Iidaâs cheeks puffed out lightly. He very much disliked demeaning words such as âidiotâ. Didnât like when people used it to describe themselves. Didnât like when others used it on each other. Insulted and hurt by the word, Iida turned his face away, taking a deep breath that had nothing to do with the pain. He had quite enough of people mocking his intelligence and using such thoughtless words. He tried to remind himself that wasnât what Shinsou meant and he was rather free with his insults in general. Didnât mean it didnât hurt. âThe advice I can deal with, but I ask you refrain from calling people names. They may take it to heart.â
Peering at Shinsou, Iida pursed his lips. Why would it be late? Shinsou really ought to take better care of his body. Iida decided to ignore the hypocrisy in that line of thinking.
âMy concern isnât trust. After all, I trust you entirely. I would not have drank that potion if I didnât. You are very skilled and rather gentle actually.â It was very easy to be distracted from the pain in his arm. âI was talking more so on whether youâre allowed to do so in the first place. Though now Iâm worried about how much time you spend in here.â Brows knitted, Iida raised his free arm, hand raised and fingers pressed together in a chopped motion. âIs everything fine, Shinsou-kun?â // @spltnmndâ
Shinsou gave a slight nod of his head, if only to appease the other. He wasnât interested in receiving a lecture from the other. The conversation was finally leading somewhere decent and heâd rather not take steps back.Â
He paused from putting stuff away to shoot the other a confused and slightly distrustful look. They hardly knew eachother enough to warrant trust, so he wasnât too sure where the words were coming from. Although that mightâve just been him and having a natural tendency to question the motives of others. He wasnât distrustful or antisocial by any means- maybe a little secluded- but trust was too fragile a thing to really toss around, much less hand it over to people who you only knew on a name basis.
But this was Iida and the guy had a bleeding heart.Â
âFine as it can be.â Shin shut the last cabinet, shoulders rising in a half hearted shrug. âMy health isnât something to worry about, Iâve got it under control.â Well as controlled as potions and forced naps, but the human body tended to be stubborn when it wanted to be. âIâm still caught up with my work, so you donât need to worry about that either.âÂ
