This is doing absolutely nothing but feeding my tinhat theory that the reason Kirk looks at Spock Like That is because Shatner was in love with Nimoy. (This theory was formed by watching Shatner interviews with various cast members, and he just...looks at Nimoy Like That all the time. It's extremely noticeable.)

One of my favourite examples of that is the Access Hollywood interview where they're reading off questions and Nimoy reads one and says "Oh, we're getting sexy here..." and Shatner just stares at him like this

before murmuring "Go ahead, don't be shy..." like girl, shut uuuppp.
