the thing i think people should realize, is that ANY character can be someone's favorite...that's just the rule of how things work. No matter how obscure, how ugly they are, or how horrible of a character they are, there will always be at least one person who is obsessed with them. There will always be at least one person who really likes that one villain character who only appears in one episode and is ugly and does horrific things and basically only exists to be evil and for the heroes of the story to beat them. And honestly...good for them. Tough simping for the one character everyone either hates or forgets and there is no fan content for them.

They keep eating the same freaking food and it frustrates me so much! We can't have the "big scary light" on just lamps everywhere! Being disgusted by pedophilia isn't censorship and it's appalling how so many people disagree. You don't need to harass other people about it, but everyone is perfectly right to be grossed out by depictions of pedophilia that are designed to turn people on.

Some proshippers seem to not understand that it's ok to be grossed out by paraphilias, including the big three. Harassing people for having a paraphilia is not ok, of course, because it's not something you control and often it's disordered or it comes from trauma.

But. It's not the same when talking about showing pedocriminal relationships as ok. Harassment is still bad, but calling someone out isn't harassment. And, in this case, it's just common sense.

Yeah like of course people aren't gonna be alright with pedophiles/pedophilia.

Even then there's a thin line between using trauma as an explanation or an excuse. Which is what I see a lot of people do.
