Genuine good-faith question; how do you balance playing something like umamusume with being a feminist? I ask bc I play it and enjoy it obvs but im starting to not be able to really justify what my housemate calls a pedobait gambling game which. tbf it is. the oversexualisation of minors makes me incredibly uncomfortable, but i really like the story/characters and game mechanics. its just fun. anyway, feel free to ignore if youre not comfortable answering!

long answer: i don’t personally see media i consume as needing to 100% match with my morals. there’s exceptions of course and a lot more nuance but that’s my blanket opinion, i had issues with jojo being….. Variously Problematic but was also a jojo blogger for like a few years. i think it’s healthy and normal to be able to have issues with content you like without spiraling about whether or not your morals are intact. and fwiw i don’t pay for anything in the game, im strictly f2p which eases my conscious too lol
