Listen Zoomer, I appreciate that you live in a blue state big city and have never faced actual gaybashing and as such you're a spoiled little brat who doesn't have empathy because you've never suffered bad things in your life, but some of us live in the south and in places where LGBT people still aren't widely accepted and thus know the term you're using exclusively in the context of a derotagory slur.

So it'd be fucking great if you respected that instead of trying to force the label on us like a raging self-centered cunt. We're not asking you for much, we really aren't. It's astoundingly easy in fact! It costs zero dollars to be considerate. All you have to do is put the barest amount of effort into instead of being the shithead you're very clearly trying to be. I'm glad that you want to reclaim it and that the reclamation of it makes you feel empowered, but your empowerment is not my empowerment and I would prefer it not be used for me. I'm not "queer", I'm bisexual. I'm LGBT. That's it, full stop. If you can't accept and respect this, then you are only further dividing a community which doesn't need to be divided. You don't hear shit about black people who don't use the n word or don't like it used on them, because we can understand and empathize with people who don't want to reclaim the slur. I don't understand why that's so difficult for our community.

I am not queer. You're fixing nothing and you cannot force others to reclaim a slur. If you can't figure out how to reclaim a slur without forcing it on others, that is your problem. No one elses. And if you can't figure out that if you're part of the LGBT you get to choose whether you want to use the term queer or not, that is also your problem and no one else's. ... yeah because my extended family using the slur on me is not traumatic. Because people from the south can't experience trauma related to a word you like. Just acknowledge that you don't actually care about people and move on, we can all see it already.
