I agree. I went into a slump after writing a few works, but got no feedback.

I thrive off of comments and asks relating to a work. I haven’t been writing a lot lately, but that’s because I’ve been planning for the projects I’m doing. But also because I want to end the school year (my senior year) early so I’ll have more time to write for you guys before Uni.

A little comment/ask can make the biggest difference.💋

Getting a comment is amazing, and as the reader, knowing you just made someone’s day better, even by a bit, is so nice. Even if the author doesn’t respond right away or respond at all, knowing they probably read your comment and were affected by it is a great feeling.

This time, Billy fell back against the little wall shelf where my mom kept her recipe box and her painted teacups. The forget-me-not blue one smashed on the floor, and she didn’t even look up. Suddenly, I understood in the worst, clearest way that this wasn’t a surprise. Or at least, it wasn’t much of a surprise that she would leave. The idea that you could see someone hit his son like that and still pick him was terrible.
