Currently can’t stop thinking about the fact that Shelby’s issue is how emotionally repressed she is and Toni’s issue is that she lets herself be overtaken by emotion

So Shelby is able to control her anger and not give in to Toni’s aggression meaning she can actually handle it (which has not been the case for many people in Toni’s life) while Toni is able to process her feelings without making a big deal out of the kiss which is exactly what Shelby needs as she’s figuring out her sexuality

I don’t think they would’ve given each other a second glance off the island, but on the island they’re exactly what the other needs and that’s way too much for me to cope with right now
