A thing I often see self proclaimed ‘misandrists’ with bfs/husbands or male sexual partners question is why should they have to forego that part of life when misogynistic men can fuck and marry women just fine without any internal struggle, and the thing with this argument is that not only do men not face the same risks to their lives and health being with a woman, as women do being with men, in fact they gain big benefits as you mention, but men’s hatred of women is also coming from a vastly different place. ‘Misandry’ is indeed a response to misogyny. Women on average worship males as much as males worship males and undermine women. Both socially and biologically, women have a tendency to revere men. Men are bigger and stronger on average, they look down on women instinctually. We are lesser to them. Social and societal structures only furthers this.
A woman who’s seemingly aware of the dangers men pose, of how violent and strong they are, of how much they lie and manipulate to get what they want, to have such a woman still think she’s special enough to pick well? It’s naive and arrogant all at once. It’s not mentally sound either. The man is the predator, the oppressor.
Most women who have been murdered by their male partners, whether it be romantic or solely sexual ones, also thought they picked well. They did not pick these men knowing or even imagining that their end would one day be at his hands.
An oppressor using the class placed under them in society will never be comparable to the seemingly aware oppressed person still refusing to part ways, as much what is in their control, with the person with power over them.
Saying all that and I hadn’t even gotten into the difference in female and male promiscuity. Women sleeping around is not and never will be the same as men doing so. Not only are you perceived much differently for doing so, the risks are also higher once again physically even if he is not turning violent one day. Some STDs hit women more severely and then there’s also the fact that pregnancy can potentially happen, unless the woman or man in question is sterile(though that still doesn’t remove all the previously mentioned risks).
I think women can do what they want, if they wanna make stupid choices, that’s on them. But it does make it basically impossible for me to feel bad because ‘misandrists’ are usually pretty well educated in statistics, general dangers and male depravity and to then still choose to put themselves at risk the way some of them do? Well..
Seperatism without sexual and romantic seperatism seems fairly useless to me. Because these two things might be what benefits men the most and the single two things they target the most in relation to women. Everything else a lot of them are perfectly fine being completely separatist themselves. A lot of men would not mind having a society where women’s sole purpose is romantic mothering of them and letting themselves be fucked by their men.
