Sun and moon - Day 2 of shuakeweek!
Mini Land Spirit Shrine
use this as a conduit to connect you to the local spirits and nature
get a pot
fill it with local dirt/sand/clay
keep it on your porch/inside/near your house. somewhere you can visit it.
put cool natural items in it, like local shells, bones, branches, etc. that you’ve found…
watch it come to life. if i just leave a pot of dirt around, something will spring up in it. usually those considered “weeds”. if nothing grows, plant a low-maintenance native plant in it. but there should be something after a time.
make offerings like water and more natural items as you desire.
connect to it, talk to it, introduce yourself.
Rinse and repeat over time. That’s really it! and then you just… build a relationship as time goes on.

🌸 Witchy Positivity Journals 🌸
First things first…what’s a “witchy” positivity journal? A positivity journal is like a regular journal, except that you use it to store positive thoughts, and positive energy. Instead of venting and scrawling all of your negativity into it, you use it to inspire, motivate, and condition yourself into think more positively. It becomes “witchy” or “magical” when you allow it to be so. Consecrate it, fill it with positive magical energy and experiences, etc.
Wouldn’t this just make it a positivity grimoire? No, absolutely not. A grimoire, or book of shadows, records spells, knowledge, etc about the craft, where this doesn’t necessarily have to include that (though it can if you want, it’s your journal after all!) This is a personal book about you, your thoughts, your feelings, and your inspirations and aspirations, magical or not. But, as a witch, making everything a magical experience is very cathartic and uplifting on it’s own, don’t you think?
How does this pertain to witchcraft? Great question! It’s all about energy, and intent, honey bee! You are imbuing this book with your positive vibrations, you’re writing with the intent of becoming a happier, and more optimistic person. Now, doesn’t that sound like magic to you?
What gets put into a witchy positivity journal? That’s the fun of it, sweetheart, you can put absolutely anything in it you want. But here are a few suggestions:
🌸 Positive thoughts and affirmations 🌸 Inspiring and motivating quotes 🌸 Self-care and self-love spells 🌸 Lists of magical items that bring you positivity (crystals, herbs, etc) 🌸 Recipes for tinctures, elixirs, etc, that make you feel good 🌸 Things you’re looking forward to 🌸 Deity work, spiritual work, energy work, etc 🌸 Good things that have happened to you that day 🌸 Draw and charge positivity sigils on the pages 🌸 Record dreams that give you hope 🌸 Track your magical progress and magical goals 🌸 Literally anything that makes you happier and more optimistic
At the end of the day, this is your journal and you can do whatever you want with it. As a witch myself, and someone who tends to be pretty negative, and low on energy, practicing the craft by constantly doing spells, rituals, etc, can suck up all of my energy and free time. So, I started journaling, but making it a magical experience, and it’s been so helpful. I’m sure people have heard of this idea before, but I felt the need to share this idea with other witches, especially other spoonie witches, because it makes you feel active in your practice, while also reserving some of your spoons!
Stay inspired, witchy, and positive honey bees!
Witches against racism. 👊
I made two new sigils today! These I’m going to be placing on a little flag I have on my blinds stick so that as I open the blinds each day i’ll be reminded of them and able to charge them!
DIY Witchy Supplies
- Need runes? Go on a walk and collect stones, write the runic alphabet on them and use for divination and in spells.
- Need herbs? Cut open tea bags and use!
- Need a wand? Pencils, sticks, rods, and other long-oblong objects can be used. You don’t need to go all out.
- Need a pentagram necklace? Use wires made out of safety pins, clothes hangers, etc. shape and then use a chain or string to thread through the necklace.
-Need a regular pentagram? Like the picture shown above, weighted pentagrams can be drawn on flat stones, slabs of woods, plates, even pieces of cardboard.
- Don’t have a cauldron but need one to cast spells? You can use- and I know this isn’t very dignified or aesthetic- but frying pans were made for a reason; preferably ones that are stainless steal. Set your charcoal/ spell products/etc inside. Most frying pans will not be damaged by fire.
- need poppets? You can make and sew poppets out of felt, scraps of old fabric, etc. and stuffed with pillow stuffing, cut up string, etc. Just remember to think before hexing.
- need an altar cloth? Something is better then nothing. Pillowcases, napkins, towels, etc. can be used. You can dress them up with tie-dye, embroidery, fabric paint, real paint, etc.
- need tarot cards but cant for some reason purchase a set? Use regular playing cards. Yes you heard that right. You can use the cards for correspondences.
- want to do scrying? use hand mirror / any other type of mirror and paint over with black paint. You can use this for scrying.
-want a pendulum? all you really need is a weight and a string/ chain/ etc. You can use anything for these weights, however I highly encourage you to use stones as they have a higher vibration then other objects.
-Got anymore ideas? Let me know!!!
happy crafting witches!

I tried my hand at making a sigil! I drew it on the bottom of my cane to keep me steady on bad flare up days.
The old gods are not dead
I hear Athenas war cry in the shouts of protests, fighting a war now closer to home, I see her in the young women with picket signs clenched tightly in their fists
Hera curses the names of the abusers The ones who break families and marriages Her voice heard in the wedding bells of young lovers
Poseidon now resides in a beach home Going out every night to pick of trash left by the day Shooting daggers at the drunk men letting their bottles be swept away
Demeter can be heard cursing the politicians refusing to believe in global warming Names of scientists and studies on the tip of her tongue She is found teaching young children how to grow their food at the community garden
Ares is found on the front lines of a different war, not fighting but protecting the innocent Guiding classrooms of children away from gunfire, His shield protecting the terrified
Apollo can be found at opens mics Reciting his latest works Or walking down the street in docs on his feet and a guitar on his back He knows he’s the coolest
Artemis is seen on the streets Her bow and arrow have long left her Carrying nothing more than a knife and mace She hunts a different kind of monster now
Hephaestus resides in a workshop at all hours of the night Creating custom pieces for the right price and a warm smile The hammer making him feel invincible
Aphrodite’s song is heard in the breathy kisses of teenagers Shes found walking down the street, lips a blood red Punching the men who dare disrespect her
Hermes is seen with a smirk as he walks long well-traveled roads Delivering the messages of those needing to be heard Traveling, telling stories, and wearing out another pair of shoes
Dionysus’s voice heard only over the pounding bass in the bar Keeping watch over young girls drinks Dancing, partying and living as he throws another one back
Hades is seen weeping over the graves of those taken much to soon Looking to his wife for comfort He’s long lost his faith in humanity
Persephone found in the gardens beside her mother in the spring Brushing off girl’s dirty knees and putting flower crowns on their heads She can be seen holding onto hades as he mourns the loss of life
Hecate will be found running metaphysical shops Bringing hope to powerful women wanting more Selling potions, nobody thinks will work And collecting graveyard dirt for a new spell
Zeus is watching over everyone Watches Athena cry Hera curse the men, he being one of them Poseidon’s glares Demeter’s harsh words Ares raising his shield Apollos singing Artemis as she tracks a new beast Watches Hephaestus work Sees Aphrodite punch Hears Hermes words Sees hades weep And Persephone plant and comfort her partner And grins as Hecate keeps magic alive
The old gods are not dead
They are alive
And they are watching

A friend of mine that I hadn’t seen in a long time came over on New Years Eve and brought me a Christmas present. Now I’ve only told several people IRL that I’m a witch because I’m very much in the broom closet but what did she get me? That she just happened to see while checking out somewhere and thought I’d enjoy it? A deck of spell cards! It’s actually really cute but I was so surprised to be given that from someone who didn’t even know I’m a witch. Definitely felt like it was a sign. ☺️
