do you know what i find sad
i find it sad when i come across posts saying like "stop acting like you have an anxiety disorder or depression or eating disorder etc because other people have worse"
because well yeah, other people may have it worse than you, but it doesn't make your problem any less significant? if you're feeling anxious or just down in any way and you're worried or frightened then of course whatever is troubling you is important and people should know that. i just imagine how awful it would be if someone had an panic attack and felt they couldn't tell anyone because they thought it insignificant. because i know what it's like and you end up feeling helpless, and all because "some people have it worse"
this isn't glamourising unstable mental health, because i know it sucks and it is often misunderstood, but if someone is genuinely feeling low, i think it's sad that they could be influenced by a post encouraging them to think that their problem is insignificant
u know when you get someone a really rad present but the occasion isn't til like a month away so ur just there like
pls don't buy the thing i got u in this time
