Synopsis: The second part to Summer Camp. Jungkook and you finally have time to go on a date together after a month of talking to one another, unfortunately, things don’t go as planned.
A/N: THIS IS SO DELAYED AND LATE I HONESTLY HATE THIS but it’s the second part to my summer camp scenario. I hope you all enjoy it.
“Check check check!” You sung along with Girls’ Generation in front of your mirror loudly as you applied the pink tinted lip gloss to your lips, boosting up your confidence even more.
“CAN YOU SHUT THAT NOISE UP?!” Hara busted into your room with her hands covering her ears and with a glare plastered on her pale face. The smile that was present on your lips prior to her entering immediately faded away as you turned around to face your 8 year old sister.
“Hara, go away! I’m getting ready for my date!” You frowned at her.
“A date with my man!” Hara placed her hands on her hips.
“You said you were over him!”
“Well I lied!” Hara stuck her tongue out at you. You just rolled her eyes and turned back to applying your makeup.
It’s been about month since you met Jungkook at Hara’s summer camp. You were immediately attracted to him when you first met him and he must’ve felt the same since he sent Hara home with a note to you with his number on it. You guys spent days and nights texting each other and getting to know each other. Since Jungkook was busy with his band and you with your new job down at the beach at a towel rental shop, it was hard to meet up with one another. Luckily, you both had a free Friday night off and he took the chance to ask you out on a date. You were beyond excited because you were finally able to see him in person again instead of through FaceTime on your phone. Nerves still tended to eat you up on the inside, though. It was your first date with him after all.
“Can you leave? He’s gonna be here soon!”
“I’m not leaving… I’m going with you!”
You immediately rolled your eyes at her as you went over to your bed to slip on your sandals. “No you’re not. You’re staying here with mom and dad.”
“Nope! I’m going with you! Mom and dad are going on a date too!”
You looked up from your feet and at your grinning younger sister. She had to be joking. Your parents didn’t even mention going out tonight. Besides, you told them about your plans earlier in the week. They wouldn’t ask you to babysit the last minute.
“Hara, stop kidding and get out.”
“I’m not kidding. Ask mommy and daddy,” Hara smirked at you. You let out a heavy sigh, not believing your younger sister, and got up.
“If I go ask them about this and find out you’re lying; you’re dead,” You said through gritted teeth as you pushed past her to get out of the door. She just continued to grin at you as she watched you leave.
You stomped down the stairs and towards the kitchen where you found your mom in a long white gown and her hair pinned up in a bun. They had to be kidding you.
“Mom… why are you so dressed up…?” You asked hesitantly as she turned around to face you. Her face was covered in makeup. This was not a good sign for you. You could practically hear Hara laughing hysterically upstairs.
“Oh! Y/N, didn’t I tell you? Your father is having dinner with his boss and his wife tonight and so I have to tag along,” she chuckled as if everything was right in the world. Meanwhile, you felt your hands becoming sweaty and your heart beginning to race as realization started to dawn upon you.
“A-are you taking Hara with you?” You asked nervously though you already knew the answer. And by the way your mom laughed again confirmed it even more.
“Sweetie, why would we bring Hara along? You can watch her – oh…” Your mom finally took notice of you and the pale blue skirt you wore with a simple short sleeved white crop top and your hair curled which you only did on special occasions. “Your date is tonight, isn’t it?”
You threw your hands up in the air in frustration. “Yeah, mom! I’ve been looking forward to this all week! I can’t watch Hara!”
“Can’t you guys plan this another night?” Your mom asked. Was she being so serious right now? You usually did all that your parents asked you when it involved your sister but this time, you couldn’t do it. Nothing was going to mess up this date for you.
“Mom, I work nonstop and he’s busy! We both finally were free to meet tonight only!” You said exasperatedly. “Also he’s on his way here! I can’t cancel last minute!”
Your mom pursed her lips together and gave you an annoyed look. As you returned the look to her, your father walked in dressed in a suit.
“Ready to go, honey? Y/N, you look nice,” He smiled at you but it quickly went away as he saw the look between you and your mother. “Uh… should I leave?”
You immediately turned your attention to him. “Dad! You knew I had a date tonight! Why did you guys just decide to have me babysit Hara without even letting me know?!”
Your dad’s mouth formed an ‘o’ as he remembered about your own plans tonight. You knew he didn’t have anything to say. Both of your parents knew they were in the wrong. Still, you knew they were expecting you to throw away your plans for the night and watch your sister while they go out.
“I have an idea! Why don’t you take Hara with you? This young man knows your sister too, right?”
“That’s a wonderful idea, honey! That way you won’t have to worry about feeding Hara too! I’ll leave money so he won’t have to pay for the both of you!” Your mom clapped her hands together and smiled at you as if the problem was solved.
“I’m not taking Hara with me on my date!” You exclaimed and glared at them.
“I’m going on a date with Jungkook oppa?!” Hara suddenly appeared beside you and jumping up and down in excitement.
You glared at your parents as they gave you the look that parents give you when they’ve had just enough of your attitude.
“Y/N, just let her go. She won’t get in the way, right Hara?” Your dad sent a glare to the 8 year old who was grinning from ear to ear.
“I promise I won’t! I’ll be quiet and behave!” She smiled at your parents while you internally groaned. Why were you having such horrible luck so far tonight? You were a good girl. You graduated with honors from high school, you obeyed all of your parents’ house rules, you had a job, and you didn’t fight often with your sister like you used to. Why was the big guy upstairs punishing you tonight on your free night? Hara was your pride and joy but to be going on date with her? That was just asking for a disaster; especially since the guy you were going out with was her proclaimed “first love.”
“Honey we have to go…” Your dad said as he made his way past you and your sister.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. We’ll make it up to you later. Hara,” Your mom looked down at your sister with a stern look. “Behave.”
“Yes ma’am!” Hara grinned up at your mother as she walked past her. After hearing the front door slam shut, Hara turned her attention to you with a smirk on her face. “I told you I wasn’t lying. So what should I wear? I was thinking my Frozen t-shirt and my black shorts!”
“Ugh!” You said in frustration as you pushed past her and stomped upstairs to finish getting ready.
