nayeon was proud of herself; overcoming her sudden fear of water after being knocked off of her jet ski a few months ago wasn't easy at all, but she managed to do it with the help of jungkook and dahyun, who constantly encouraged her to take up swimming again in order to re-familiarize herself with both shallow and deep waters. the two were even kind enough to accompany her to an indoor pool for moral support.

if only they got to see her now. comfortably seated on the pink surfboard she borrowed earlier just behind the invisible line that split deep-enough waters from even deeper, unknown territory. nayeon was supposed to take surfing lessons that morning, but the waves weren't strong enough–prompting her instructor to offer the opportunity to try again the next day–and she happily accepted. now here she was a few hours later, using the board as a floatation device and waving down the familiar face she spotted swimming towards her. "i was starting to think i'd be the only one swimming today. it was too quiet." nayeon jokingly called out, lifting her sunglasses up to playfully squint at them.

as a celebrity as famous as he is, it was hard for jimin to find a moment of true peace and quiet in his life. of course that now, with taking a break from his career and focusing on his enlistment did give him a moment to focus more on his friendships and family and now the trip to the maldives gave him yet another opportunity to just be jimin. not park jimin or bts' jimin. he remembers during the suchwita interview when yoongi asked him what dream that just jimin had and not bts' jimin, back then the bts member said that there wasn't a difference between the two, that whatever just jimin wanted was what bts' jimin wanted to, that there wasn't much difference between those two people— that they weren't two people at all.

jimin still stands up to that, but he also can't deny that his shoulders do feel a little lighter when he doesn't have to worry about carrying the weight of being bts' park jimin like he is in that moment, in the middle of the sea.

"well," jimin grins shamelessly at his friend, deciding to approach her since it feels like forever since they had the chance to spend time together. "if i'm not bothering my sister-in-law then what kind of brother-in-law i am?" he jests back. he doesn't comment on it, the fact that nayeon is back on the water, looking in peace in it even though it was just months ago that the incident happened, one that had both jungkook and taehyung completely distraught because their girlfriends were involved in it.

"in a more serious note," he also adds. "how have you been? it's been a while, hasn't it?" his grin has softened up into a small yet still friendly smile.

“i promise this is my second drink of the night” the seventeen member already defending his latest spill. tripping over his own foot didn’t his words any better when he had done the same thing just moments ago after finishing his first beer of the night. “the floor is slippery!” mingyu gave yet another excuse of why he tripped.

technically jimin has no ground to stand on because he's the master of falling on his ass in the most random moments especially when chairs are involved; all of that without a single drop of alcohol in his blood, however slightly tipsy jimin feels like he has all the rights to be a little hypocritical and laugh kindly at mingyu, a part of him knowing full well that at some point in this party karma will get him for this. "are you ok?" he still asks with laughter still clinging to his words. "bad bad slippery floor." he scolds the floor beneath them like someone would scold a puppy, expressing that it definitely wasn't jimin's second drink of the night. "just stick to me'" he gestures with one of his hands for the other to come closer. "i'll protect you from the evil slippery floors, pinky promise!"

"So, we get the boards for 2 hours. You think that will be enough time?" Johnny loved being out on the water, so the paddle boarding sign easily caught his eye when he arrived in the Maldives. Now that he'd convinced a friend to join him and rented the equipment, they were ready to go. "We used to do this on the lake when I was in high school, but I haven't been in a while. Promise not to laugh if I wipe out?"

"i think so." jimin answers easily, not having to think twice about accepting his friend's invitation for some fun in the water. he never exactly went paddle boarding before but the idea seemed fun enough and of course that spending time with johnny was what mattered the most, especially when it'd take him almost two years to be able to enjoy something like this with his friends again. "we're fast learners, we'll be fine." he tries to hype johnny up a little, genuinely wondering that this might not be that hard anyway. and if two hours weren't enough, they could always just rent something else. after all there were endless water activities in the maldives.

"i mean, you're ahead of me then." jimin is careful when he tries to stand on the board. "i promise not laugh if you don't laugh at me either, deal?"

the sun shined brighter this evening since arriving to the maldives. the man had plans to explore the area around his villa before visiting the nearest beach. it seemed impossible to find the perfect spot until finally settling on one. he begun to prepare for the next couple of hours of resting by lathering himself in sunscreen before realizing he couldn’t reach the majority of his back. frustrated as ever, he looked around to find the first person he set his eyes on. “not to sound like a creep or anything, but do you think you can apply sunscreen on my back?” his hand carried the bottle, lifting it into the air for the other. “i’m going to be out on the sun all day, and well, i don’t want to get sunburnt back there. think you can help me out?”

jimin missed the beach, the warm sand under his feet and the breeze of salt air that the sea brings— or maybe he misses the calm that it never fails to bring him, being unable to help but associate that kind of scenery with peaceful times, ones that he doesn't have to worry about being part of one of the biggest boy groups in the world and the forthcoming enlistment that is just around the corner, how he's going to leave not only friends (and army) behind but also his wife — he really didn't think ahead when they sat down and decided a date, did he? —; it isn't the change in general that is necessarily scary, but more like this change is a little scary; he's scared that army will forget it, that eunbi will find a better husband while he's away, he's—

"oh, jay sunbae, hello." the bts member is taken out of his thoughts by a familiar voice, greeting his senior politely. "of course!" and he's quick to accept the favor that the other was offering him. "let me," he takes the sunscreen and puts a little on his hand. "how are you enjoying the trip so far?"

As the rhythmic beats of the music faded, Taemin finds himself winding down at the gym after an intense aerobic dancing class. Sweaty and tired, he exchanges knowing glances, at Jimin with a sense of accomplishment evident in their his tired yet satisfied smiles. Taemin had heard whispers around the gym that the dance class was challenging, and interested in the idea of a new workout, he had persuaded Jimin to join him. Now, with the class behind them, Taemin basks in the endorphin-fueled high that lingers in the air. Leaning against the wall, catching his breath, Taemin turns to Jimin with a grin. " That was intense, but I'm glad we tried it. The rumors didn't lie." He wipes the sweat from his forehead, feeling the familiar post-exercise glow settling in. "My manager wasn't kidding about the challenge, but, it was a blast. Definitely worth it." As he catches his breath, a sense of accomplishment washes over him, and in the midst of the gym's background noise, he finds a quiet satisfaction in knowing he had embraced the challenge and come out on the other side feeling good.

if asked, jimin will say that this is his preparation for his time in the military, will argue that he should probably working out a little harder just so his service time won't exerting his body more than it should. however the blatant truth is that jimin loves taemin's company and he loves dancing so of course that he's going to say yes when his friend offers him to attend a dance class together. it's been forever since he was able to spend time with taemin while doing something they're so passionate about they literally build a career with it. besides it's nice to just dance, not because it's a choreography for a performance, but it's just a choreography. jimin almost forgot how it felt like— dancing just for the sake of it and that feeling lingers even when he's laying on the ground of the room they used for the dance class, feeling way too tired and sweaty to move.

"yeah, for sure. i don't think i'll feel my legs for the next hour though." he says out of breath but there's a very sated smile tugging at the corner of his lips, proven that there's no real heat behind his complain, even more so when jimin needed the distraction from his very forthcoming enlistment. "thanks again for inviting me, we should do this more often." then he kicks his friend gently, more of a nudge than anything else. "just let me catch a breath for a second and i'll treat you for lunch, what do you think?" he's sure that there are a couple of restaurants around that are private enough for them to have a peaceful time.

jimin already had an idea that choosing the bestman for his wedding would be a nightmare before he even found someone who would make him consider getting married, because unfortunately he couldn't simply choose all of his members to be his bestmen no matter how much he wanted to, how much he couldn't see them being anything else, but it still feels even harder— almost like an impossible task when he's faced with the preparations for the wedding, a form in his hands to fill with important elements of the wedding so he and eunbi could start looking for venues, buffet services, decorations, and so on. how could he choose only one of them when he feels like all of six members deserve the same spot?

it's eunbi who gives him the idea of maybe choosing two bestmen then. it wasn't as common as a groom having only one, but still possible— or at least much more possible than choosing six.

well, of course there's taehyung because they're soulmates and jimin would feel like he had to be dragged straight to hell for an eternity of punishment if the taller vocalist wasn't his bestman — and if taehyung doesn't return the same courtesy when he's the one getting married, jimin will cry even harder because obviously he'll be already emotional over his best friend's wedding, but that's a topic for another day —, but then he's back to an impasse because there's one spot left that he wants to fill with five other people— each and every one of them having their own special reason to why jimin wanted them to have such a spot of honor in his wedding, but in the end jungkook does end up being his choice because, well, he wasn't only jimin's baby but also eunbi's close friend so it made sense.

that's why jimin is there right now— invited himself to jungkook's place with packages of ramyeon and beer for old times' sake, making sure to pick a day that eunha had her own plans for the night so he could catch jungkook by himself, since he thinks that if he's going to ask jungkook to be his bestman then he might as well make it special by playing the nostalgia card; a grin tugging at the corner of his lips when jungkook opens the door for him, raising the plastic bags with their dinner. "jungkook-ah." he greets his friend affectionately. "ready for the fancy dinner hyung brought?" he says playfully.

Schedules for Taehyung were just beginning now that his album was out but he felt relieved that the release finally was here. He had been caught up in what the public and Army would think about his solo songs that he had skipped on a few meals and his sleeping pattern was like a rollercoaster. On top of that, he was still trying to find ways to slowly bring his relationship with Nayeon to the public without causing a scene that would bring Nayeon any hate. He had seen how Army and antis had reacted to his member’s relationships that he wanted to take it easy at the same time with ripping off the bandaid and taking whatever heat came their way. He was grateful for the trip. Not only would he be able to feel the pressure off his shoulders but he would spend time with his closest friends, his girlfriend, and his brother’s partners. 

It was no surprise that the soulmates had ventured on their own to a friendly game of ping pong. Well, friendly now that the game hadn’t started. Tae was just happy to be able to spend time with Jimin no matter what little or big event they managed to do together. They always had a friendly competitiveness that there was no doubt in his mind that they would be getting loud enough where some of their roommates would be sticking their heads out of the cabin to check for their wellbeing. 

“Aish” His smile spread on his lips hearing the words come out of Jimin’s mouth. He took a last sip of the wine he had and rested it next to Jimin’s. It was one of the only alcoholic drinks that Taehyung grew to like but even then, he drank it in small chunks. “Best out of five” he quickly said. Knowing them, this game might go all night. “Are you warmed up? You’re not going to cheat?” Taehyung said with a straight face but his brows gave him away that he was joking around.

jimin scoffs though there's no real heat behind the expression. after all, not only taehyung is right and the shorter vocalist does have a small tendency in trying to find loopholes in games and take advantage of them but it takes much more than that for him to be genuinely offended, especially when the others come from his soulmate. "yah," but of course that his dramatic butt still will act like he feels deeply attached— even when there's a grin tugging at the corner of his lips, laughter painting his words. "i never cheat." he lies without missing a single beat. "i simply take advantage of all the opportunities that the game has to offer me."

the shorter vocalist missed this— this easiness about being by one of his brothers' side without having to worry about cameras around them, either from dispatch or from any reality show like in the soop, to not have to worry about what is said because he's mic-ed — even when the producers are friendly with them and professional enough to edit out anything that could be compromising or that felt a little too intimate to share with the world. jimin just missed them being them, enjoying a little match of ping pong while catching up on the small and big updates of each other's life.

"you start because you're the one with the newest released album." jimin yields easily something that would be most likely decided in a match of rock, paper and scissors, sending the little ball to taehyung so he could serve first. "and while you do that, you can tell me how are things between you and nayeon." he proposes even if half of the reason he's mentioning his soulmate's girlfriend is to find material to tease him with even if jimin himself has no ground to stand on considering how he's such a cheesy person himself, not missing a single opportunity to gush about eunbi and how much he loves her. "better than the last time we talked, i hope?" all that long ago in spain when jimin was drunk and ended up in an argument with his best friend.

"I won't judge you, I promise." Jinyoung shoots the other male a warm smile as he placed his hand onto his hip. There was something positive about Jimin that he liked. For some reason, standing beside Jimin made him feel happy. "Saying silly things is an important part of life. Can you imagine a world where everyone is serious all of the time?" He shook his as he leaned backwards. "It would be so dull and boring. Besides, I don't know everything about wine. Hopefully I'll learn some new things today."

"You are staying with Taehyung and Jungkook. Your cabin sounds like a never ending party. Do you have any interesting stories to tell me? I suppose the rap line decided to sit this one out." Jinyoung couldn't imagine Yoongi rooming with a bunch of people. He was the type of person who would rather be alone than with other people. "Me? I'm sharing a cabin with my husband. We don't have a lot of time together since I'm off in the army for awhile." Jinyoung could talk all day about his husband. It helped get his mind off his enlistment. To say that he disliked being in the military was an understatement. Jinyoung did not thrive in the military lifestyle. Thankfully this is only temporary situation.

"He does deserve a great party. His album was amazing. I've listened to it several times now." Jinyoung's smile widened as.he studied the wine in front him. He admired the members of BTS for creating amazing music. Every single solo album had its unique flavor. He reached out pick up his glass of wine. "This is my first time drinking this particular wine." He swirled the wine around in the glass for a moment before bringing it to his lips. "If this tastes as good as it smells we're in for a real treat." He commented before tasting the glass of wine. "This is amazing. "

jimin likes jinyoung quite a lot if he had to be honest— maybe because they shared a friend, jaebum, the bts member couldn't help but think that the other also matched his energy quite well; this kind that was high spirits but still more mellowed down than jungkook's for example — which was fun and everything but it was also equally exhausting if exposed to it for long enough. of course that jimin saw that jaebum was a little more reserved than jinyoung but the sentiment is still sort of the same, in the end he's someone that jimin can see himself spending time with and having fun, but not feeling like he just spent the whole day running a marathon by the end of it. "that's why i like you, hyung." the bts member chuckles. "finally someone who appreciates the stupid shit i say." he sniffs, pretending to be emotional for a moment.

"honestly i have way too many." he says honestly when asked about stories with his members, the only reason that they don't end up spending the whole night awake probably being the 1000th match of ping pong or getting themselves in trouble is because they're also sharing the tent with their girlfriends who, for the better, do get them away from each other at least for the night so the bts members can spend time with them as well even if that's spent retelling all the adventures that they had throughout the day. "talking about which, i still need to a rematch of ping pong with taehyung and this time i won't let him win just because he debuted as a solo artist." jimin says confidently even if, in truth, taehyung won that fair and square and the shorter vocalist i simply being a sore loser.

"oh." then his eyes soften when jinyoung comments about his husband and enlistment, how they don't have much time for each other, and honestly that was something that was worrying jimin. even if he and eunbi aren't married yet, he was still very much not looking forward to his enlistment because it'd mean that he wouldn't be able to spend as much time as he does with her, especially now when he's so thoroughly pampered in that aspect considering how they live together and spent as much as they could by each other's side, perhaps a little too much sometimes since they're both people of clingy nature. "is it hard?" he can't help but ask. "being away from each other. how—" then he bites his bottom lip like he's cutting himself off. "sorry if it's a personal question, but i can't help but feel a little curious about how you two make it work."

then jimin nods, a fond smile on his lips. "yeah, i mean, taehyung just deserves the world." and he means every word of it. but then he turns his attention to the wine, pretending to know what he's doing when he wiggles his glass a little like he has seen on tv so many times— jimin even smells the wine a little though he doesn't sense anything besides well wine without all the notes that the expert is telling them that ir has before he finally takes a sip of it, surprising himself with the taste because jinyoung is right, this is— "really good." he praises the beverage, finishing his glass right after almost like it was a shot. "a little sweet too." just the way that he likes it. jimin even checks the name of the wine ot make sure to buy it whenever he finds it. "definitely buying it later."

Rose might not look like it, but she was a nature girl through and through. Seeing the volcano had been on her bucket list for a long time. Most of her friends weren't into the idea of climbing the volcano except for Jimin. Her traveling companion was a pretty smart guy because they both decided to have some food before the long hike. Brown eyes study the sandwich in front of her for a moment. "I think some good sandwiches are an essential element for a good picnic, and yours, well, they look amazing."

She pulls out a small box out of a bag. "I bought some sushi at the place near our cabins." Rose opens up the box showing off the fresh fish, a small smile forming on her lips. "What do you think? You can never have too much water before and during a hike. There's some strawberry fruit punch in my backpack if you're craving something a little more sweet. "

"thank you, i really tried my best." jimin says proudly almost like he was the one who made the sandwiches instead of buying them from the closest convenience store to their cabin, the same way with the mandu even if it was a simple takeout that they couldn't finish. well, at the very least he did try his best to bring all of that food untouched in his backpack. after all, a good part of the reason why food is delicious is because it looks delicious. jimin is ready to receive his 10 points for aesthetics — nevermind that this isn't any competition and there is no judge to give them points for anything.

"the sushi looks so good too." he almost whines. "this is perfect." probably much better than what jimin brought himself considering how he'd have sushi over almost anything else most days. "and i also think that water is fine for now." they might actually need it more than the strawberry punch. "but i'm not completely dismissing the strawberry punch because it's always nice to have some flavor too." not like jimin was the kind of person who hated water unless it had some sort of flavor on it, refusing to drink it otherwise but he couldn't deny that it was a little more to have an overly sweet strawberry flavored beverage than simple water.

"please," he gesture to the table for rose to serve herself first, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "ladies first."

sometimes it still feels like the shoe hasn't dropped yet about him not only proposing to eunbi, but that she said yes and now he has a wedding to prepare with her. maybe it's because their routina hasn't really changed yet— not when he still had business to finish with hybe especially about his documentary and eunbi was preparing for their comeback with viviz, their routine blissfully domestic but also busy with their careers. besides it feels a little too good to be true, almost like jimin is waiting for eunbi to turn to him and say that she was only joking and honestly how could she marry someone who almost proposed to her before he even got to ask her if she wanted to live together or even worse— that she'd realize that they worked better as best friends and not lovers so they might as well even break up.

but then there are other times that things feel a little too real like in that exact moment that he's sitting with eunbi in their living room while the leftovers of their dinner cool down on the coffee table, a little form in their hands with all the important details that they should fill for the preparations for their wedding so they could start looking for venues and whatever else their ceremony and reception needed. as much as it's this the first time that jimin is organizing a wedding — especially his own — but from the size of the list, he knows that it's going to be tiresome; even if completely worth it, it'll be tiresome, but he also knows that the euphoria of marrying the woman of his dreams and the help of his members, he'll make it through.

"so, babe—" jimin starts, running his eyes through the list for a moment so he could decide in what to suggest for them to start with their very long session of decision making. "where do you want to start with this? maybe where the ceremony and reception will be?" and that's what he ends up going for. "or should we do the groomsmen and bridesmaids?" he intentionally doesn't mention bestmen and maid of honor because he knows that it'll take him forever to choose which of his members ais going to be the chosen one when he wishes he could just decide that all of them would be his bestmen.

Jinyoung had been looking for someone to drag on the wine tour with him since arriving on the island. After the group trip at Paris last year, he became particularly interested in the differences between Korean wine and those of different countries. Thankfully, his friend agreed to go along with him. He stopped outside of the tour location glancing back at his friend with a cheerful smile. "Thanks for coming with me. I have been wanting to go on this tour for ages, but I didn't want to go alone. Drinking is better with friends and some good food."

"Have you enjoyed yourself so far?" He asked resting his hands onto his hips. "I don't know about you, but I really needed this vacation." Jinyoung knew that Jimin probably had a lot floating around over his at the moment. Promotions were hard enough without having to worry about enlistment looming overhead. "By the way, I really enjoyed the cookout the other day."

it wasn't a secret to anyone that jimin did love his alcohol. even army already made a couple of short funny videos of how easily alcohol goes down his throat and how he seems to enjoy it and that's why that he's interested in the wine tasting tour even though he knows little to nothing about wines. he has a very vague idea that the different types of wine are because of the different types of grapes that are used and that's pretty much it since he was technically much more of a champagne type of guy. however it's never too late to learn new things and it's fun to try out all these different types of wines either way, especially with the company that he has now. "tell me about it." he grins. "but i don't know much about wine so ignore me if i end up saying something too stupid." jimin jokes even though he'll probably do just that and hopes that jinyoung won't hold it against him.

"for sure." the bts member replies right away, thinking about all the fun times that he had not only with eunbi during this trip but also with taehyung and jungkook, even with nayeon and eunha in their shared cabin. it just felt like a big and endless sleepover. "sharing a cabin with taehyung and jungkook, i couldn't really do anything else but have fun, even if it can be a little exhausting sometimes. and you?" though he wouldn't really change it for anything else, especially now that he proposed to eunbi and with his enlistment just around the corner as well. it felt like he was running out of time and if he focused too much on that feeling, he feels like he's going to suffocate.

jimin perks up when jinyoung comments about the cookout, all the happy and fun memories almost flooding his mind just by the mention of it. "yeah, everything was perfect." he agrees, a grin tugging at the corner of his lips. "but then that's what taehyung deserves so." jimin ends up with a shrug. "the decoration was really pretty too." he adds as commentary, thanking quietly when a staff comes to serve their first glass of wine while the guide went on about the specifications and whatnot of it. "have you tried this kind before?" the bts member asks his friend, assuming that jinyoung had more experience with this than him.

              「 ❥ 」                              → eunbi nodded at jimin's statement. in the past, burrito days simply meant cuddling up and marathoning the best dramas while eating gyeranbap with extra gochujang. these days, though, it was something else entirely. it meant scrolling and crying and wishing jimin was home, despite her never asking him to leave schedules for her. they were already handling a lot not just as a couple but as people and as idols, too. the last thing she wanted was to make herself another responsibility that he had to handle while he was already so busy. it doesn't change the fact that she's on edge all day until he comes home and then, when she hears his voice, it's as if a weight is lifted from her shoulders.

"i missed you," she whispered out softly. the kisses he presses to her face only cause the tears welling up in her eyes to roll down her cheeks finally. instead of tears of sadness now, though, they're tears of relief. tears of calm because somehow, that's the effect that he has on her. "thank you," she whispered quietly. she could smell the food and it was almost as if she suddenly remembered that she was a person who needed sustenance to be able to exist. "i forgot..." she said referencing the food before she gave him another soft kiss.

it dawned on her for just a moment that these small things were part of why they worked so well together. when she felt terrible and liked she had nothing to offer, jimin could always somehow tell and they balanced each other out. even the one time they'd argued, the case had been the same. they'd balanced each other out. "did you eat already or- will you eat with me?" she asked softly, her eyes remaining on his. just like he refused to move away from her, she didn't move, either. each time she spoke, she felt her lips brush against his and she almost felt like if she did move, she'd immediately feel worse.

jimin is thankful for his fans, he really is. he's sincere when he tells them that he loves every single army and how much it means that they have that amount of support even when it's been more than ten years since their debut. he's also genuine when he comments that it feels nice, how protective army can be of them when such unfair situations happen especially related to the western world, however it's hard to not feel resentment towards a portion of those people, the same portion that feel entitled to his personal life, to tell him whom he isn't allowed to date and whom he isn't, to hurt one of the most important people in his world like they're hurting eunbi.

jimin can handle the negative comments about himself just fine, even when they break him into pieces, he's experienced enough now— has so much support that he can pick his pieces back together, but it feels him with a new kind of anger when those comments are directed to eunbi, questioning whether she'd be a good company for him or even worse— assuming she'd be with him because it'd be good pr, because jimin is from one of the biggest boy groups of the time, like eunbi was some self interested gold digger. it made jimin go almost mad, understanding why jungkook seemed always on the edge about eunha as well, simply a comment away from exploding at all of those netizens, but in the end he knew that doing something like that would just drag the situation if not make it worse.

so he decides to focus on eunbi now, on the loveliest person that he has ever met. affection boils and bubbles under his skin to the point that it's almost overwhelming. "i missed you too." he says back, voice already a little heavy with emotion. "wished i could carry you with me all day every day." and he means it, would rather spend every single second of his day with eunbi than doing anything else, especially when they're in such delicate moment of their relationship, when a part of him knows that as much as eunbi tells him that she's fine, she isn't fine, that the moment he leaves, she'll be dealing with this backlash on her own and he hates it— hates that he's aware that she most likely cried by herself today, wrapped in their blankets with only ankko as her company. "just wanna be with you."

but instead of expressing that frustration, jimin decides that he'll just drown eunbi in affection— will wrap her up around his love just like she's doing with the blanket now. that's why he steals kiss after kiss from her even if they never deepen, just as many pecks as eunbi will let him. jimin hums with her question, pressing yet another lingering kiss on her lips. "yeah, i didn't have anything yet." well, he did taste a couple that the lady was kind enough to offer for free while he waited for his order, but he doesn't think eunbi needs to know that. "is just the mandu ok? i can try to whip something out of whatever we have on the fridge too." he offers, unsure of how hungry eunbi is considering that she spent the whole day without food, maybe the mandus won't be enough.

"i want to pamper my princess today." he says with a smile, his hold around eunbi tightening a little more— nevermind that he always wants to pamper eunbi anyway. "so what is your wish, my love?"

「 ❥ 」 → "no! it's not scary. i just wasn't expecting you, oppa," she said pouting slightly. if anything jimin's presence was a welcome distraction from any stress that she might've had on this trip. she had hoped he'd be resting after promotions but since he was here, of course she was happy about it. despite the fact that they'd both known what they were signing up for by dating another idol, it never made the temporary distances between them any easier. for example, she still got sad when she got a snack and instinctively snapped it in half because she'd usually share it with him, even when he wasn't there. She didn't have to worry about that for now, though, seeing as he was right in front of her.

she pinched his side at the cheesy joke, even as a blush crossed her cheeks. even if she already knew that they considered each other to be the other's home, it didn't help to calm how flustered the comment made her. it was always like that between them. even when she thought she'd become fully immune to his charms and flirting, he'd say one thing and she would discover that she'd fall all over again just as easily as the first time. "technically, you didn't lie, yeah. even so, i'll forgive you since it was for a good reason," she would never complain about him tricking her just to see her as soon as he could.

as they kissed and he began explaining why he was suddenly there, her lips formed into a small pout, but it wasn't one of displeasure. instead, it was a reaction to just how sweet he could be sometimes with thinking of her first, even when he was busy. "you promise to rest a bit while you're here, then? since you have to travel again soon?" her voice took on a warning tone, as she'd hate if he came to see her and didn't take time for himself. while she loved seeing him and she was proud of him for finishing promotions, she still wanted to make sure he took care of himself, too. after all, without her being home, she worried about him being taken care of more than anything else. she wasn't delusional. she knew jimin was not only a grown man but also older than her and could more than take care of himself but she also knew how dedicated he was to living up to the grand idea others' had of him and the standards he had for himself. she knew he'd work himself sick if no one said anything to stop him.

her eyes follow his at the question and she looks down at her own attire before shaking her head. "you know i sit and scroll for hours before bed. yewon is getting her hair touched up and eonnie is...around somewhere. i think she might've gone to bed early, actually. i didn't have anyone to hang out with so i was just going to stay here," her eyes wandered back up to his face as she raised a brow before asking as she took a step closer to him closing the small gap between them. "did you have an idea, oppa?" she knew by now that he wouldn't have asked if he didn't have another suggestion. usually, seeing her dressed like that, he'd follow her lead getting ready to relax with her.

jimin loved teasing and flustering eunbi a little too much, a grin on his lips when his girlfriend couldn't hide her blush. the bts member has naturally more of a flirty personality — or shameless as his groupmates and brothers would define him instead — so it isn't unexpected that he ends up making people shy around him because of such charming words, but there was something special about seeing the effect that he had on eunbi in particular, someone whom he saw cringe over other people's attempts of flirting — including his own from time to time — more often than not. besides, it doesn't help that his girlfriend just looks so cute— how she gives him the best reactions. he doesn't even have in himself to act dramatic when she pinches his cheeks.

"pinky promise." jimin agrees easily, even interlacing his pinky finger with hers to show how serious he was though a part of him was already thinking about how he could cheat a little on that statement, more than ready to argue that spending time with eunbi was him resting regardless of whether or not what they were doing was considered resting. besides it isn't like he was tired; not only because being with eunbi always gave him a good amount of energy — an instantaneous recharge of sorts —, but also because even with the end of promotions for his first solo work, jimin didn't feel as exhausted as he thought he would, glad that he chose to take his time with his schedule instead of packing it with anything and everything that he could. "but only if you're resting with me." he adds a little slyly, having yet to let go of her pinky and of course that he wouldn't hold it against her if she couldn't because she had schedules to fulfill.

the taller vocalist hums when eunbi talks about her plans for the night, not really surprised because indeed that was what she usually did before going bed and usually jimin would be more than glad to join her, maybe even suggest for them to put something on the tv just to have background noise or to have something to look at if they ever get bored of their phones— or more for jimin to have something to look at when he eventually tosses his phone away so he could cuddle with his girlfriend, trying to distract her with kisses and acting a little like a baby to get her attention. however this time jimin came with a mission and eunbi is absolutely right and he did have an idea.

"actually yeah." he admits easily, his smile growing a little wider. "there's a reason why i gave you the thousand sunny plushie, you know." and since the surprise was him showing up at her door, jimin doesn't see the need to hide from her why he showed up at her door besides to see her. besides he's a little too excited about this to really be able to hide it from her. "there's a one piece themed cafe that is having this promotion for couples so i thought we could go together. they're having the cutest chopper pancakes."

"but we don't have to if you're tired." of course that jimin adds, gently tucking a stray lock of eunbi's hair behind her ear. "in the end, i came here to see my girlfriend," and his heart still skips a beat when he refers to eunbi as such. "so whatever you wanna do, i wanna do too."
