“mhm well you are aware Halloween is over, right?” yura commented, eyeing her roommate from across the dining room table. it was early morning and with no schedules or plans, yura was just lounging around in the roommates house wearing some sweatpants and a tank top, something she usually tried not to be seen wearing while on this show. “because I’m not sure why you’re still wearing your Halloween costume.”

Spencer was wrapped in a blanket on the couch, watching a series of horror movies on Netflix. He was still dressed in his onesie costume that he wore on Halloween. Turning in her direction he gave a mean stare. “Let me be. Halloween is never over...get in the spirit with the spirits Yura” he said satanically before turning back towards the brightened screen.

“Though it’s so important to me, I think I’m getting a little too old,” she said, just a bit sadden by the idea. Okay, she was more than just a bit saddened about the idea of not skating professionally, but she knew this was going to happen sooner or later, and there was no point in crying over this when she was with Spencer. Every moment with the male was precious to her. 

Sujeong laughed lightly at the awkwardness of the male, finding it charming. Even though Sujeong was just as new to the whole dating thing as Spencer, she was able to hide her awkward nature just a bit better. “I would really like some ramen,” she said with a shy smile. Due to her strict diet that came along with skating, Sujeong never really had gotten the chance to really enjoy the simple foods, even something as simple as ramen. 

“One bowl of extra hot ramen coming up!” he announced while skimming the menu. He had sworn he had caught her glancing in his direction a couple of times before finally finding the item. “That’s it? I know your diet has restrained you for a long time, but surely you’d want more...how about a shake? Some fries? Some curry?” he listed a few things before glancing back at her precious stare.

“I worry about you, is all” he said while grabbing hold of her hands. Across the table, he could feel her heart beat with him.

With a smile that would not be leaving her face anytime soon, Sujeong laced her fingers with the male. “My break could have been better, but I got so much accomplished, I hope you can say the same,” she said, teasing the male. In fact, over her break, Sujeong took some time to think about how much Spencer really meant to her. Not only had she discovered that Spencer was like a support system to her, she found out that she was definitely harboring feelings for the male. 

“Well, I’m almost certain that, by the time 2016 is over, I will no longer be skating. And I have a pair skate creeping up, but what about you? How have you been?” she questioned.

The mention of ‘no longer skating’ caught his attention as he stared into her eyes. “You aren’t gonna skate after this year?” he asked in anticipation. He knew how much Sujeong loved skating, and how much of a talent it was to her. Seeing the look on her face, he didn’t want to ruin her night by bringing it up. “How about we head to the restaurant. I don’t want to stress you out when it’s just our special day~” he admitted smiling.

The two lovers roamed the streets before meeting at the restaurant. “Get anything you want. My treat” he said in the most charming way possible. Spencer grew a bit awkward since he wasn’t used to charming a woman, especially one he liked.

Sujeong could barely contain her happiness. In fact, it was overwhelming. The nervousness and fear she felt earlier was long gone and now the girl was on cloud nine. ( If there was any cloud higher than nine, Sujeong would probably be there too. ) Spencer always had this effect on the girl and it was something that she was slowly, but surely, getting used to. Of course, the giddiness she felt around him was something she was never going to get used to and that was not a bad thing. 

“Oh Spence, they’re so beautiful,” she said, a shy laugh making it’s way out of her mouth “You know, I’ve really missed you.” She let her eyes absorb the sight of the male in front of her. The last time she had seen the male was over FaceTime at least three days ago, and even that amount of time was too much for the love-sick puppy that was Sujeong. She always found face-to-face contact much more pleasing than anything else. 

Spencer couldn’t contain the stupid smile that kept popping up on the corners of his lips as she admitted how much she had missed him. It was a great feeling knowing that she was being cute and soft rather than the older noona she technically was. “It’s been a whole month. How have you been?” he asked while brushing a piece of hair out of her face. This was the first time in a long time since he physically touched the girl. Keeping his face from burning, he cleared his throat and extended his hand. “We can talk about your break while we walked to the restaurant. I’d love to hear everything you didn’t get to tell me over facetime” he chuckled to himself while guiding the girl with his hand.

Spencer rubbed his stomach, attempting to distract himself from wanting to eat. Giving in slowly, he felt the urge to eat with someone else. Normally, Spencer enjoyed eating alone, eating by himself was his way of regenerating; but today, he felt hollow and needed a lunch buddy. Leaning outside his door, he wondered if anyone would hear him. “Anyone want lunch? My treat!” he was desperate for any being to come with him.

Sujeong had spent all day preparing for this night. After Spencer had told her the previous day to keep her schedule clear, she couldn’t deny the excitement. Out of all the people in the house, Spencer was the one she kept in touch with on her one month break. 

After numerous outfits, Sujeong decided on a simple off the shoulder baby blue dress and a pair of tan heels for a little height. She gripped the lace that decorated the end of her dress in nervousness as she looked at herself in the mirror. Sure, she and Spencer had been on dates before but that didn’t stop the butterflies that constantly crowded her stomach when she met him. Not wanting to keep him waiting any longer, she quickly rushed out of the house to the waiting male. “Spence!” she called out as soon as she saw the figure of him. 

Turning to hear the childish lingering voice, he already had a smile plastered across his face. Sujeong was waving at him while running towards him in utter delight. “You look...beautiful” he complimented while trying to remain cool. The truth was, he couldn’t possibly fathom the right words to describe how lovely she was. Maybe it was the night stars that made him feel so cheesy, or possibly the dozen of roses in his hands. Holding out his hand, he guided her by his side, offering the bouquet. “It’s been a while hasn’t it” he chucked while looking down at her. It was so dark, with only the front porch light on, that he barely saw the expressions on her face. He was bummed that he couldn’t tell if she was just as happy to see him, but also thankful because he had a goofy smile hanging against his lips.

Siyoung wasn’t sure what to think. Surely the producers wouldn’t have minded if he arrived to the show one week later, no? And yet, the CP heads and Roommate producers had slated his arrival onto the show to coincide with the middle of some camping event. A camping event, of all things. He’d never been camping before, but he could already hear Jinwoon’s laughter if the Roommate cameras caught him freaking out over any sort of flying insect.

At the very least, he was relieved when he found out that the producers had already set up his tent for him; that, and he was grateful when he found out he’d be living by himself for the duration of the event. Ever since the higher ups had revealed to him that he’d be living in a co-ed house for an inexplicable amount of time, the nightmares he hadn’t had since spring’s end had returned. No one needed to see how he reacted to those. Hell, he had felt bad enough when Jinwoon had bore witness to them when they had first started and were at their worst.

Still, just because he was content to sleep alone did not mean he was content to spend the entirety of this camping event alone. There were still a few days left, apparently, which meant plenty of time for him to familiarize himself with as many of his new roommates as possible. This was why he had taken it upon himself to walk around after settling into his tent. With nothing but a flashlight in hand and his iPhone in his pocket, he walked around the camp grounds until he stumbled upon cameras pointing in the direction of a tent with a similar build to his own. Taking that as a good sign that he was in Roommate territory, he waved his free hand in the air before shouting, “Hello, anyone there – AH!” His greeting was interrupted by a loud cry of his own when a firefly suddenly flew in front of his face.

Spencer was out of his tent for once, not being cooped up and bundled up inside his sleeping bag. He had figured that since there were only a few days left of the event that he’d attempt to be as productive as possible. As he rubbed his fogged visioned eyes, he noticed someone was already up and about. The cameras seemed to like the roommate, as to the silly dance he did when he swatted some insect away. “Yes, someone is actually bringing attention, that means I don’t have to be entertainment” he cheered to himself. Spencer hated being pressured in front of a bunch of cameras alone on set. A bit of tension was lifted off his chest as the fellow roommate before him became the main focus. After a few seconds of observing, Spencer decided to reveal himself. Walking closer to the figure, he stuck a hand out, hoping the other wouldn’t be embarrassed that he witnessed their panic attack.

“Hey, I haven’t seen you around here before...did the producers drop you off in the middle of no where to film this event?” he chuckled, hoping to befriend the man.

Spencer couldn’t wrap his head around the situation. He was in the middle of trying to figure out how to start a fire for the dinner the roommates would have that night. The pressure was all on him when one of the producers assigned him in charge. “Dont screw up now. If there’s no fire. We can’t eat a thing until the morning. It’s the first couple of nights in, don’t make the whole house hate you” they said with the most enthusiasm they could possibly give. So here he was, squatting over a unlit fire. Just as he was about ready to give up, his fellow tent mate Carver, appeared around the bend.

“Hey! Help. Do you know how to do this?” he asked with a tint of stress.

ryumin: she is a klutz when it comes to physical activity, but she’s pretty knowledgeable about the outdoors. overall she’s excited about the whole bonding experience with her roommates and dreams of having a jam session during one of the campfires (like how she see’s in American movies)

aaron: he is completely lost when away from the city, so everything about camping is foreign to him. he’ll probably get irked because of the insects and constant weather change; but he can often rough things out and possibly find pleasure in hiking, swimming, etc

xander: being just released from the hospital after his accident, the doctors have instructed for him to where a temporary cast to protect him while participating in the event. obviously he is a diva so he’d gonna be complaining for 3/4 of the event lol and he will probs order people around using the handicap card

spencer: is also pretty clueless when it comes to anything away from the city. he’ll probably have to ask for help most of the time, but he’ll be the type who’d want to learn, and want to be completely involved in any activity presented.

Spencer was waiting outside the house with his keys in his hand. His hands shook as his heart beats quickened. Rather than a meekly beat, they felt like over bearing weights thumping against his chest. He couldn’t focus as he held the bouquet of flower in his hand. The only thing on his mind was the night ahead of him. He had asked Sujeong the night before to keep her schedule free. It had taken him hours to get ready, dress himself in the best clothes possible, and part his hair to the best side that made him look charming. Praying for a good night, he waited for her to exit the house.

Noah jumped slightly in surprise when he heard someone addressing him. Something about explaining it to producers. Noah winced. He didn’t really want to explain to the producers but he figured he was going to have to. “I will.” He said. “I just…” He trailed off looking at the broken vase at his feet, “Do you know where I can find something to clean this up?” Maybe they’d be nicer to him if Noah cleaned up after himself… It was just a plain glass vase though, how much could it cost?

Spencer turned back to face the man, in all honesty, he himself didn’t know where things were in the house. It had been a few months that he was a roommate there, yet he didn’t even know where to find a simple dust pan. “Try check the closet...it might lead to a basement, or not. Who knows...I heard there are demons down there, so I hope you aren’t superstitious” Spencer was clearly joking, he had to amuse himself with a new roommate after all. The house activity was slow that day, and know one was there to entertain him.

Noah had found his way inside the house and was wandering around the ground floor trying to figure out where he should go in order to find his room. Upstairs? Downstairs? He sighed looking once again at the piece of paper that had his room number scrawled on it. At some point he bumped into a vase by accident and it must’ve been pretty breakable because the next thing Noah knew there was the sound of shattering glass and he was suddenly surrounded by glass, water and flowers. He looked at his feet in horror and quickly screwed his eyes shut. “Oh no, oh no no no no.” What a way to make a first impression.

Spencer was on his way to the bathroom when he heard the large shards of glass hit the floor down stairs. “Is it that damn dog again?” he asked himself as he remembered one of the roommates had a trouble making puppy. “I swear, I warned you that mutt was a bad idea” he shook his head while walking down the stairs. To his surprise he only found a flustered man standing before him. “Well you better be the one to explain this to the producers” he said before looking the other way.

“that’s what i possibly thought, i called the other photographers that share the same space and they haven’t seen it.” artie explained, his respective tone beginning to show through once more. he hadn’t meant to speak so forcefully, and he was feeling bad about it. “i don’t know where i could have left it. i don’t leave it anywhere, it always hangs on my neck. except for when i sleep.” he frowned, feeling powerless without his camera around his neck.

Suddenly a thought sparked Spencer’s mind. “Was it ye high and ye big?” he asked while making measurements with his hands. “Was it somewhat black but the strap was colorful?” he added. “I saw another roommate, or a camera man or someone take it away before I took my nap. It might be long gone now” he frowned while staring at the man.

“i never said you had taken it. i was just curious as to if you’d seen my camera.” artie crossed his arms, not at all amused by the situation. “all i have left is my polaroid camera, and i don’t know if you know this. but a photographer needs their camera, come on. get up, help me find it.”

“Camera?” spencer repeated once more before sitting up. He scratched the back of head, trying to figure out where it possibly could be. “If you misplaced it shouldn’t it be in the house? If not, do you have a office or place where you take pictures?” he asked staring back at the man. He wasn’t familiar with Artie’s career since they themselves haven’t socialized often.

yura nodded. “of course, we’re good friends. you deserve to know,” she laughed, seeing how he was trying to act like it wasn’t bothering him. yura honestly didn’t know any (or if she had fanboys to start with). “stop smiling, it’s creeping me out,” she made a face, not sure how to act seeing his awkward smile. “go look in the mirror and you’ll see the fanboy.”

when he had finally connected the dots he rolled his eyes. “I’m quite jealous, yes, I know you hate me but I won’t beat myself  up” he said sternly. “You also gave me a heart attack because I thought you were serious” he complained. Great, now Yura would have to deal with the mans threatening words. “Why are you like this to me” he said throwing a pillow in her direction.

“yes really,” she said with a laugh. she leaned her head against his back and continued to skate leisurely with him. “and to think i could of had a new skating partner for my pair skates,” she pouted as she noticed his panic. it was just a small joke but her current skating partner wasn’t ideal for the girl. 

it felt nice to introduce the male to something that was such a huge part of her life. “hmm, i don’t think i’d be able to do that,” she teased with a smile. of course it was just a joke, she could probably drag the male across the ice if she wanted to. 

“Even though I’m near a heart attack I’m enjoying myself” he assured her once more, smiling down at the girl. Spencer wouldn’t have expected that he would grow attached to the girl within a matter of weeks. It had almost felt like the two had just met. After a long hour or so of skating, he let her practice on her own for once, watching her dance across the surface of ice.

When she finished her final set, he shouted out to her. “Hey, should we call it a day? How about I treat you to something warm” he said while rubbing his bare hands together. Staying inside the whole time made him shiver at the touch of the air.
